The smell of the garlic fries brought us here. They were awesome and so was the clam chowder. My husband raved about the seafood chowder (it was called something different). The waitress was super friendly and gave us a special Sprite concoction for our son who was resting in the car nauseated from motion sickness. It did the trick! We... More

There are plenty of places to eat in the Historic District of Florence, OR. Like so-called "historic districts" in most of the cities on the coast, it is where the tourists flock .... and eat. So, generally in the restaurants in the district, atmosphere and hype is major and food, often pricey and minor. The Firehouse Restaurant is somewhat of... More

Some of the best clam chowder ever. It is different than most in that the "premium" chowder has cheese on top and is thick. The rest of the food was also excellent. It was fun to see all the fire departments emblems from all over on the walls. Highly recommend it!

The night we went in there was a spur of the moment karaoke night - it was so much fun and the food was excellent! Great atmosphere inside with all the fire memorabilia.

Always going to Mo's when in Florence we decided to try something different. I still wanted clam chowder & bread so on a suggestion from my friend's mom we tried the Firehouse. They have a fancy clam chowder but I just wanted plain old clam chowder. It probably wasn't the worst clam chowder that I have every had but it... More

Bay Street in Old Town gets busy in the summer. There is a reason the other restaurants in Old Town are full...great food & service. Having just returned from a mini vacation and finding our favorite restaurants with a waiting list we opted for this one.It had been a year since we were here. I told my husband there is... More

This unpretentious place is in the Old Town of Florence, along the river with a view of the art-deco era bridge that carries US 101 over the mouth of the Siuslaw River on the southern Oregon "Dune Coast" 60 minutes north of California. The room is set up like a pub, with live music, a bar, and tables, but good... More

The place is filthy and needs a restaurant makeover. Chose not to eat dinner there. The flooring is dirty sticky unsanitary carpeting and should go away ASAP.
