I've had some lovely meals here and some not that great ones. A few times my food hasn't been hot, and in general I've been happier here for lunch than dinner. You don't need reservations. Just back from Eugene visiting UO and son -- old favorite Zenon Cafe is now closed so we went up the street to Sweet Basil. Absolutely delicious - what a surprise, wish we had a place like it in L.A. Sweet Basil is definitely not your typical storefront Thai restaurant. It is beautifully decorated in a very contemporary design. As to the food, I think it really depends on what you order. We had a house special curry which was very good and a crispy duck that was just average. It definitely wasn't crispy. It probably sat around too long... more
