Beautiful place, good wine, but....

This is one of the more beautiful properties we've ever visited for lunch. The wine was very good and the Charcuterie was great, but the burger was only barely eatable. I ordered a rare to medium rare and got a well done burger. Also, it had some kind of black Canadian-style awful tasting bacon... read more

We visited King Estate in October of 2014 & had a great experience. Their Pinots are to die for! We took a full tour of the facility including the fermentation tanks & barrel room, Shannon was an exceptional host & guide & showed us areas I'm sure were not on the regular tour. After our tour we sat out on... More

This is a must for out of town guest, special occasions or for any other reason. King Estates sits on top of a hill overlooking their vast vineyards. In nice weather the patio is our choice. The food is really spectacular and the flight of wine is always a great way to top off the meal.

After eight years in Eugene I have decided that this is my favorite restaurant. The setting is fabulous, atop a hill, regally perched, with a view of rolling vineyards. The building itself has tons of outside dining and the interior is grand with high ceilings and stucco, remniscent of wineries in California. Food was fabulous, fresh, and served with care.... More

Set on top of a hill, great views. When we walked to our table, I noticed almost everyone eating the French onion soup so I decided to order it. Wow. It was fantastic. Possibly the best French onion soup I've had. Our entrees, spinach salad with duck confit and risotto with salmon, were also great. Deserts fell flat though. Vanilla... More

WE went with friends from California for a leisurely lunch and found everything to our liking, the location on a hilltop, the magnificent buildings, the genteel atmosphere, and of course the best food with much of it from their gardens. These folks know how to encourage visitor to linger longer over a great glass of wine while gazing out across... More

Not only did we have lunch on the terrace with fine service, selection, and a view, we toured the winery, strolled the property, and tasted some wines. Our latest visit was with friends who had never been there, but my husband and I like to dine here just us two.

We had a superb dining experience. The weather was one of the most glorious May days that we can think of. This meant that not only did we enjoy the meal, but the view, and particularly the blooming Scotch Broom were spectacular. We had an appetizer of roasted vegetable with aged balsamic. WOW! It was a burst of freshness and... More

This place is gorgeous, and I love to bring visitors for this reason. I cannot speak to the food as I am vegan, and there really weren't any options that made me want to eat here. The wines are merely mediocre when compared to the numerous other Oregon wines. This would not be on the top of my list of... More
