Description: Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking. The menu is based on the foods one would find at a farmer’s market: fresh, seasonal, and regional. Marche is committed to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Marche also believes in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range, and chemical free products. The culinary technique is French-based: intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented.

Great yet bustling atmosphere, with a menu emphasizing local and organic meats and produce. We were there for a light supper, settling on appetizer, soup and a hamburger with fries. Expect small portions of high-quality food at high prices and you won't be disappointed. The beer choices were fine for the burger; the wine list was overwhelming, but the waiter... More

I first came to Eugene and ate at Marche about 12 years ago visiting my grandson who lives in the area. I was quite impressed with the standard of food prep and the service plus their interesting wine list. It was good then ( even by LA standards) and it has continued to get better over the years. The food... More

Great location, great food, great service. We're now huge fans of the Marche foodie brand. Ask to sit at the bustling kitchen bar and make sure to order at least one burger and their super French fries.

Over priced , small portions and staff that rather be somewhere else, not worth the price I paid for food nor service.

Amazing food and great service! A must go to if your in Eugene. The specials are always good, and I love their soups and starters. Pork shop is really good and save room for dessert!

The service was attentive but not hovering. We enjoyed a melt in your mouth lamb entree here, while the dinner salad was an overpriced, uninventive dish of fresh greens. Neither of us has a big appetite, and the amounts in general were not at all generous.

This has been my go-to restaraunt in Eugene ever since my beloved Red Agave closed. The service is a little stiff and not as attentive as I'd like considering the prices, but the food makes up for it. My bf and I always order raw oysters everywhere we go and they are always fresh and sublime at Marche. Although I... More

I travel frequently to Eugene and thought that this meal was the most "upscale" experience I've had. I enjoyed a nice cocktail, salad and halibut. The wine pairing my server offered was good as well. However... I would echo the criticisms on portion size. I don't expect huge plates, but in my opinion, $40 entrees should be slightly larger. That... More

After reading the tripadvisor review - and consulting with the innkeeper - we chose Marche for our first night's dinner in Eugene. The service was great, the food superb, the wine suggestions coupled brilliantly with the menu items chosen. We'll be back.

I've eaten at Marche dozens of times. They do an outstanding job, with an emphasis on Pacific Northwest cuisine and local foods. It's a great restaurant for both a romantic dinner and for a business dinner meeting. We also hold our annual office holiday event here. When the weather is nice, ask for the outdoor seating. Also, the Marche bar... More
