Description: Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking. The menu is based on the foods one would find at a farmer’s market: fresh, seasonal, and regional. Marche is committed to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Marche also believes in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range, and chemical free products. The culinary technique is French-based: intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented.

We had a delicious dinner here in early August, 2014. I ordered from the bar menu (which is served in the dining room, if requested). We received a warm greeting from the hostess, and our waitress was profession and delightful. We shared a generous serving of fried oysters and I chose Salad Nicoise as my main course. I was very... This was our second lunch outing to Marché in Eugene Oregon and we arrived with fond memories of tasty food. We were pleasantly greeted and seated on the patio. Thier lunch menu is nicely varied and shows creativity in the kitchen. I had the mesclun salad with crumbled blue cheese (at an unannounced extra price) with a lovely house vinaigrette,... More

Great chef and staff. Have had many meals here. Breakfast great and competitively priced with small cafe's down the street and you can actually get bacon or sausage.....Friendly waiters and hostesses always. They cater a lot too so a robust organization.

Food is consistently good here with variations based on the season. Occasionally service can be unnecessarily slow or a bit pretentious, but is a function of the server--most of which are great!

We drove from Portland to Eugene with some relatives who had flown in from Miami, Florida to see Santana and Rod Stewart in concert at the Matthew Knight Stadium. The show finished at around 10.45 pm and the shuttle drooped us off at the Inn at the Fifth at about 11.30 pm. We walked into Marche and the main restaurant... More

Our friends said this place is the "best in Eugene." We didn't experience the best on the night that my wife and I dined at Marché with the same friends. The vegetarian selections that our friends shared seemed fine to their tastes. But the seafood entrees ordered by my wife and I left much to be desired. My wife's alleged... More

With deep roots in Eugene, this restaurant continues to gain strength. We've enjoyed two fine meals here in the last year...casual before a Ducks game & more serious during a night's stay traveling south. Both different. Both very good. The casual side in the cafe/bar is delicious and fun. The fabulous dinner in the dining room was special: great, creative... More

Great yet bustling atmosphere, with a menu emphasizing local and organic meats and produce. We were there for a light supper, settling on appetizer, soup and a hamburger with fries. Expect small portions of high-quality food at high prices and you won't be disappointed. The beer choices were fine for the burger; the wine list was overwhelming, but the waiter... More

I first came to Eugene and ate at Marche about 12 years ago visiting my grandson who lives in the area. I was quite impressed with the standard of food prep and the service plus their interesting wine list. It was good then ( even by LA standards) and it has continued to get better over the years. The food... More

Great location, great food, great service. We're now huge fans of the Marche foodie brand. Ask to sit at the bustling kitchen bar and make sure to order at least one burger and their super French fries.
