Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking. The menu is based on the foods one would find at a farmer’s market: fresh, seasonal, and regional. Marche is committed to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Marche also believes in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range, and chemical free products. The culinary technique is French-based: intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented.

Nice surroundings, good food and service. A bit pricy. On the upscale side for Eugene. Thought that tables were a little too close together. Go during off peak hours.

We had a wonderful dinner out with Friends. The food was good but a bit pricey. Great selection of wines and the food quality was excellent

We went for lunch on a Sunday, but the dining room had already closed, so we had a bite in the bar. Fantastic! The service was friendly, professional and helpful. Meals were explained, drinks were suggested. We had the lavendar infused freshly squeezed lemonade, a beet, goat cheese, roasted pistachio, and orange salad with a champagne viniagrette (sp) dressing. The... More

If you're visiting Eugene, make this one of your higher-end culinary stops. Exceptional chow to satisfy most palates and the ambiance is always on. Make a meal out of the Dungeness crab cakes, pommes frites, and whatever's on tap. Prepare to spend a little more, but always worth it.

Food was good and server was too. Sometimes they can be a little pertinacious. They may look down their nose at you if you bring your children.

Great wines, food, staff and atmosphere! I eat at Marche several times a every month of the year. The variety of wines available are outstanding and Phillip, the somenonier, is very knowledgeable. He also listens to your description of wine taste as well as keeping in your price range. The food choices reflect the seasons and are wonderful. Menu choices... More

We went to Marche for our anniversary for the first time. Had heard about it of course, but in the 8 years we have been living in Eugene had only stopped there for drinks once and decided to try out the "kitchen". I have to say that while the food was tasty, it did not really live up to all... More

Family had brunch at Marche. Very nice food and service. the beignets were nice and Creole-y. Will definitely go back for dinner and get the mussels, on recommendation of a family member who lives in Eugene, and eats there often.

The quality of the food is excellent, the prices are a bit steep. A little bit of New Orleans in Eugene-- great beignets and Bloody Mary's.
