Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking. The menu is based on the foods one would find at a farmer’s market: fresh, seasonal, and regional. Marche is committed to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Marche also believes in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range, and chemical free products. The culinary technique is French-based: intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented.

Great food, slow service

The food was excellent, by far one of the best restaurants in Eugene. As for the service, it was very slow. The waitress almost seemed as if we were a bother by being there. I'm giving it 4 stars solely for the great food. Very disappointing, the restaurant has the potential to be the best in... read more

I have eaten at the Marche for many years. Long ago it was nearly the only top notch restaurant in Eugene, but now it has a lot of high quality competition. Last night my family and in-laws had an absolutely horrible experience there; and when I look back on my recent dinners I can definitely state that it has been... More

In the area and stopped for a later lunch. Seated outside. Served tepid water without ice in the heat. Things went fine until the french waiter got involved. He seemed competent, knew the menu, but just seemed like he didn't care. Ordered coffee to start, after 15 minutes or so the coffee showed up. He didn't ask about cream or... More

Staying nearby, the hotel bellman recommended Marche and I'm glad he did. It is a perfect restaurant: great location with lots of covered outdoor eating; great ambience inside and out; friendly, welcoming service; extraordinary wine list with French and Local Oregon wines featured at reasonable prices. The food was perfect. I had a goat cheese tartine and bowl of squash... More

We had a wonderful dinner - very farm to table style. Local fresh food. Seems lighter and healthier. I had goat cheese soufflé over roasted veggies which was terrific. Husband had salmon - also terrific. Tomato blackberry salad had really good tomatoes that taste like tomatoes and blackberries among best I have had. Dessert was a chocolate mouse cake that... More

We recently visited Eugene with family and stayed at the Inn at the Fifth (great hotel by the way). We had dinner at Marche, which is right next door. The meals were very good, but I think mine was the best: herbed goat cheese soufle on top of roasted vegetables. Just delicious. I could eat this dish every night. The... More

This restaurant is a great addition to the Eugene food scene. My wife and I had lunch and enjoyed our meals very much (salmon, beet soup, & salad) - all very good. Situated in a friendly cluster of stores, we would recommend.

Have heard about this restaurant for quite some time, all very glowing reviews. I very much enjoyed the dining experience from start to finish. The staff, food, preparations, all very good and of the highest quality. I definitely will return to try different selections which I know will impress.

We were visiting Eugene and met some friends here who are fans of Marche. The atmosphere was convivial, the servers helpful, and the food was good. We will eat here again when back in Eugene.

Service was excellent and VERY classy! My wife and I stopped by for a Sunday brunch. A lovely time on the patio with a cool breeze on a hot summer afternoon.
