If the idea of donuts made in the shape of voodoo dolls with a pretzel for stabbing doesn't appeal to you, then you may love the bacon-maple bar or the other simply large, colorful, delicious donuts. But when my daughter saw the pink logo and boxes in the window, she remembered seeing it on the food network and we had... More

I go here about monthly. The idea for the doughnuts are unique. They are very sugary & sweet (coming from a person who likes sweets). It is usually pretty busy. So expect a line of some sort. Atmosphere is in Stimulating with pinball machines and interesting art of sorts. They only take cash. Worth trying, unique and local.

When I told my friends I was studying at the UO, they all told me to visit Voodoo Doughnuts. The place is good, but it is not worth the hype really. They are just doughnuts....

The donuts are fan-freaking-tastic. And it's a funky little joint which makes it even more appealing. The people were super friendly and didn't mind helping us decide which delectable treat to get. And we were glad about that because that's no small feat. There are some odd choices to be made, but they just seem to work. It does get... More

This is a fun place to go. I don't eat a lot of sweets, but for a speical occasion this is my choice to go have a maple bar with bacon!!!! Yummy oh so good! The pastries are ALWAYS fresh. The staff are so friendly and will explain all of the things that they have baked that day. You have... More

For a sugary fun treat. The atmosphere is totally unique. Lots of cool stuff to look at. The doughnuts have loads of goodies and crazy names. My friend's 17 year old son came from Ohio to check out the colleges here. He loved it. We had maple bacon bars and cereal bars. It's just fun for a different treat.

We love donuts so we were really looking forward to eating voodoo doughnuts. I am sure some folks will love them, but there was far too much sugary topping for us. The topping flavors, chocolate andaple, were good, we just like less topping.

We went with the classic donuts, maple old fashioned, chocolate cake and classic and really felt the value for money was quite good! Tempted to try the others but too many calories. The wait at the Eugene store was only about 5 minutes while the line in Portland was a block around the corner!

I've eaten many a Voodoo doughnuts over the years and I find them to be very well made probably better than most places and they tend to be made larger than other bakery's. BUT, are they really worth the extra money they charge for their pastries? I don't know but I'll always eat one when they're offered.

So the donuts are good but not that special. The tastes is just like any other quality donut. What makes the store special though is the unique ambiance. It's nice and different and cool. If you are a tourist it is worth a visit to take some pictures.
