This was my first time dining at Chapala Mexican Restaurant. We had lunch today, 12/18 and it was delicious (I had the chicken fajitas). My brother lives in Eugene and he suggested we meet him there. Located in the Oakway Mall surrounded by lots of department stores, grocery stores and other restaurants....its a pretty busy shopping center but worth the... More

The restaurant was packed and the staffed moved quickly to sit parties as quickly as possible. The food was so delicious and authentic. It was my birthday and I did not want the fuss of the singing etc and the staff was supportive of that. the meal was very reasonable and worth every penny

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful presentation, accommodating servers and cooks but requires creativity to eat well vegan. I had an enchilada with green sauce stuffed with sauteed vegetables which were crisper than I like, holding cheese. It was good otherwise. There are better options for vegans who want Mexican Food in Eugene.

We lived in Mexico for a number of years, and know good Mexican food when we see it. This isn't .... it is just an average Americanized version. Wife and I shared a chicken fajitas for 2. Had sufficient chicken, and onions, but practically no peppers. Service only adequate. Our friends were also disappointed.

Chapala's is at a shopping mall. We chose to sit out on the patio which was a nice setting. The weather was gorgeous, which helped the experience. The food was standard fare and we had chile rellenos, enchiladas, rice, beans...yadda-yadda. Standard and palatable but not noteworthy. Once we were sated we took the rest-n'-residue home and doctored it up the... More

If you are in the mood for a plate of reasonably priced, heavy, Mexican classics, this is your place. You'll leave stuffed to the brim. You may be disgusted with yourself after the meal (I often am when I eat here), but you know what you're in for when you walk in the door. The service is consistently friendly, and... More

And the rest of the staff has to make up for it. We went 8/20/2014 at 12:30 if any manager happens to read this and want to "help her" with her manners. We went to the mall location and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. Wait staff was not attentive and didn't refill our chips or salsa but did... More

Went to the one on Willamette & 29, had a coupon which I asked if they would honor when I first entered the place. The girl at the front said it was not good for Fridays but she would check. She came back and said she thought they would honor it but that they still had it in the back... More

Recently went to location at the mall. It was OK. Typical mexican fare. Service wasn't as attentiive as it could have been and our pina colada was weak. The kids were happy with their meal and it was a spacious location and comfortable, just not amazing food.

The food was good though it did seem typical. It was served hot and we were well attended to throughout the meal.
