Not clean. The table and salt / pepper shakers were tacky to touch. I got the fish and chips. I grew up on the coast and have eaten a lot of fish and chips and am pretty certain this was the worst I've ever had. I only ate half, which is way out of character. It was like they fried... More

We stopped last year and loved the food! A well kept secret and a Must do stop! We shared a basket of onion rings beer and chowder! Service was great and the kids and adults like to watch the trains!

I enjoyed the fish and chips at The Chowder Bowl more than any other place on the coast. Not greasy and plenty to eat. I really like their clam chowder as well, it is very flavorful, hot and delicious.

For main street - I think it beats Mo's - so there you go! :) It's not too thick and reasonably priced.

We've been here several times before and when I told my wife we were having lunch here she was excited to have her favorite crab melt. We got there mid afternoon and she ordered the crab melt and I had the chowder and salad. We probably won't be back. Too many other places to try in the area.

Good chowder. Good fish tacos. Nothing spectacular but fairly good beach food. The patio seating was very nice...much better than the loud interior seating.

This is our go to spot for food when we come to Depoe Bay. We always receive fast service and everyone is super nice. Yes its a little old inside, but the chowder is amazing. Highly recommended

Okay, when I was in high school (about 25 years ago!), this was my favorite place for chowder on this part of the coast. The train running around the perimeter of the room was fun too. Owner was really nice and would turn it on just for us girls. BUT, I went with my mom and sisters this last summer... More

The wife and I came in and ordered two bread bowls- the cannon bowl- with chowder. The red-haired gal who took our order was nice enough, but maybe a little flighty? It took 10mins our drinks and around 20mins to get two bowls of chowder and they weren't really all that busy. But we love the chowder so, we'll keep... More
