The idea for this cafe has been resting in our minds for years, since the first time I unlocked the door to the French restaurant I was managing in California, to the moment I cooked with my new love and his mommy, not snails and Vouvray but Pinot and Pork!...I knew one day we would create a place to share our love of yummy things with the world! We all envisioned a cafe that would offer an escape from the ordinary and a window into the world of the extraordinary! With the guidance and support of our families and friends we are pleased to introduce the French inspired Cafe C'est La Vie to our coastal community. So please visit us soon and walk away with a smile on your face and a sweet crepe in hand!

If you want to go to Paris, but can't afford it...

It was like being back in Paris. Although if they get more then 4 tables, there will be a long wait. The crepes were worth it, though!

The food here was magnificent as was the wine (or actual champagne in my case.) however, the service was exactly what you would expect in Paris. Lots of "I don't know," "No, we don't do that." etc. When you order, be prepared to take it just like it is on the menu. Otherwise, this place is amazing. The food was... More

Love finding local spots to enjoy and this cafe has that charming local vibe. The atmosphere is cozy and runs at a slower pace that allows for time to visit with friends, read the newspaper, or take in the fresh air of the Oregon Coast. The food is made fresh and uses the most delicious Oregon fruit to adorn their... More

Loved by locals, but me not so much. I have only been there once, but found several human hairs in my crepe, and that did me in. Others say the food is terrific. I did not finish my breakfast, so I can't say.

We ate here on the recommendation of a friend. This place is tiny and off the main coastal highway. Don't let that stop you. The food is great. Sweet and savory crepes dominate the menu. Sandwiches like croque madame round out the offerings. Service was friendly and fast.

Several months ago I read an article in a local publication while visiting the coast for a retreat. My wife and I decided to try it out. I enjoy trying new restaurants but my wife not so much. We were both very pleasantly surprised! Breakfast sandwiches and crepes are very good! I really enjoy the mustard sauce! Coffee was very... More

Cozy little cafe! Amazingly fresh food and wonderful lattes! The crepes are fluffy and light and the crab melt was to die for! Highly recommend!

We wanted to try this place after reading great reviews and were thrilled when we realized we were in walking distance. It is a small, cozy cafe with yummy food. The owner and chef is a sweet lady and gave us great recommendations for other restaurants to try while we are here. Don't miss the Croque Madame or the Banane... More

We opted to eat here after seeing other reviews and we are glad we did. Charming small light breakfast fare. All freshly made on the spot. Wonderful savory crepes, breakfast sandwiches and pastries with a French flare. Good coffee. It is a tiny cafe but there was room both days we went to eat. Worth a stop.

First we stopped at Tidal Raves and it was a 45 minute wait at 2:00 in the afternoon. Decided not to wait and by chance were lucky to find this bistro. So glad we did, great food - shared the Croquette Madame, which was delicious and was accompanied by a variety of tasty plums. Then shared the Bella crepe with... More
