The idea for this cafe has been resting in our minds for years, since the first time I unlocked the door to the French restaurant I was managing in California, to the moment I cooked with my new love and his mommy, not snails and Vouvray but Pinot and Pork!...I knew one day we would create a place to share our love of yummy things with the world! We all envisioned a cafe that would offer an escape from the ordinary and a window into the world of the extraordinary! With the guidance and support of our families and friends we are pleased to introduce the French inspired Cafe C'est La Vie to our coastal community. So please visit us soon and walk away with a smile on your face and a sweet crepe in hand!

Great crepes

What a terrific find. We started with the soup of the day, cauliflower, paprika, cheese, puréed. Light and very yummy. I had a crêpe called The Sandy with braised turkey, Roma tomatoes, Tillamook cheddar cheese and topped with housemade Dijon cream sauce. Amazingly light and full of delicious... read more

We'd been here once before. This trip we stopped by for lunch and were truly pleased by their French bistro food. My wife had the bay shrimp baguette and I had a breakfast sandwich. "Lovely" best desribes it-- oh, and the mocha was first class.

First off, this little cafe is several miles north of Depoe Bay, almost to Gleneden Beach. It's slightly awkward to get to if you're going northbound as you have to use a turnaround. Parking is tight. There is some parking on the street, but not much. There is absolutely *no* room for an RV or even a full size crew... More

Nice little breakfast stop! Fun and very different from the normal breakfast places we usually go! My husband said he would like to come back here! Lovely service, cute little place! Yummy crepes and other delicious choices!

After our very successful whale watching tour we lunched here, having various items off the menu. I had a shrimp crepe which was wonderful. The only thing I would have changed is the cheddar cheese. The crepe was a nice portion for lunch, the coffee was excellent, and the shared peach crepe for dessert was perfect.

Cozy little place with charming atmosphere, great hostess and delicious food. FYI this place is about 4 miles north of Depoe Bay, not in the town itself.

Strongly recommended, but kind of small. The cook has obviously spent time in France and learned some great dishes. Loved the salmon crepes.

It was like being back in Paris. Although if they get more then 4 tables, there will be a long wait. The crepes were worth it, though!

The food here was magnificent as was the wine (or actual champagne in my case.) however, the service was exactly what you would expect in Paris. Lots of "I don't know," "No, we don't do that." etc. When you order, be prepared to take it just like it is on the menu. Otherwise, this place is amazing. The food was... More

Love finding local spots to enjoy and this cafe has that charming local vibe. The atmosphere is cozy and runs at a slower pace that allows for time to visit with friends, read the newspaper, or take in the fresh air of the Oregon Coast. The food is made fresh and uses the most delicious Oregon fruit to adorn their... More
