Open for breakfast and pretty busy. Good service and really good food...a nice surprise along the coast. Also went to the lounge for a drink mid afternoon, and had a nice experience. An old establishment, but worth visiting.

I'm completely serious about this. I grew up in San Francisco where I had excellent access to clam chowders both in the Monterey areas and San Francisco proper. I'm talking about creamy, New England-style clam chowder here. Every time I go some place new, I like to check out their restaurants and try their clam chowder. Bar none, the Sea... More

Who knew? For years I've been searching for the elusive batter-dipped and deep-fried Monte Cristo sandwich like the one served are the Blue Bayou restaurant at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland. Seriously, 20 years later, I find the real deal less than 100 miles from home at a restaurant famous (and rightfully so) for their über-fresh seafoods... More

Love their big wedges of fried calamari, instead of little rings. Delicious! They also have the best hot chocolate around. Good friendly service... a classic seafood place to stop.

Had breakfast there twice in three days. The omelet was excellent. and reasonably priced. breakfast burrito was also good, but a bit oily. Also stopped by in the afternoon for some drinks and appetizers. Good fries and the steamer clams hit the spot. Service was great.

Had a late lunch on Labor Day after some whale watching in the bay out front. No wait and very friendly service. Clam chowder was very good. We also had generously sized fish and chips and a cod sandwich. Excellent casual diner for the coast visitor.

What an eclectic restaurant right across from the ocean and near the world's smallest natural navigable harbor. I was starving at 11:05 and tried to get lunch, but they were still serving huge platters of breakfast items and didn't begin lunch service until 11:30. So I walked to the free Whale Watch Center across the street and saw several of... More

Classic, homey, beach-front seafood joint but kitchen and friendly service are a cut above. There is nothing fancy or weird here, Portland it ain't. Fried items delicate, not greasy. Grill, steamed, and broiled items retained all flavor. A helpful wait staff will help you get the fresh stuff. Preparations and sides are standard fare but done about as well as... More

This place is an original and, thankfully, it never changes. Down to earth Oregon Coast seafood that is reasonably priced and always cooked to perfection. This is Depoe Bay's best old time traditional down home restaurant.

Fantastic food...fantastic! We had their clam chowder and fish and chips and can honestly say both were the best we have ever eaten. After dinner, we sat in the bar and listened to live music. There is great atmosphere and this truly is a fun place to visit. We will definitely be stopping in every time we are in Depoe... More
