Great restaurant in the middle of Dayton, Oregon. And this restaurant has some competition from all of the good restaurants in Oregon's wine country. You are greeted as soon as you get out of your car, which is a nice touch. The service is good and the food is great. And you probably never had mushrooms served up like this. more

My husband and I went to the Joel Palmer House this past weekend (November 2007) with much higher expectations. My boyfriend and I ate at Joel Palmer House last night - very good food. However, we were shocked when they told us that they were including an 18% gratuity in our bill - including the $125 bottle of wine that we ordered! What gives them the right to do that? more
