We used to enjoy dinners at Gateway to India. Not anymore. They have changed owners. The food and service was worse than terrible when we stopped in on July 23 (frankly I would have given them 0 stars if it was possible). We won't be back.

I crave the Saag Paneer served here. I cannot recommend the buffet, but the food I have ordered from the menu has been a delight and I find myself planning my trips on the I-5 corridor to arrive at Cottage Grove at mealtime.

This was a good discovery for such a small Oregon town. The lamb was very tender. Both chicken and lamb were flavorful. The garlic nan was exceptional. We really enjoyed it.

The only worse 'Indian' food that I've eaten was in Roseburg. The cook and owners should be embarrassed to offer this miserable fare at any price. Every single buffet dish was a disappointment, and all were barely lukewarm. I could add a dozen negative adjectives about this terrible experience, but why bother? These people know absolutely nothing about preparing and... More

Drove out of my way to reach this restaurant on my way from Eugene Airport to visit my son in Coos Bay in April, 2012 Owners told me the food could be picked up at the gas station across the street but I could only pay cash. I picked up my order, paid cash and drove to Coos Bay, two... More

Stayed at a motel the next exit north and decided to try this Indian place-had low expectations! It's in a round building near a Comfort Inn... close to I-5. I had the lunch buffet-- lots of choices and I sampled several! Just enough heat to be interesting and the tandoori chicken and butter chicken were both great!! They bring bread... More

Could have been much better--if only they had actually cooked the items served at the lunch buffet. The tandoori chicken was raw inside and the chickpeas were beyond al dente: they were hard! Everything on the buffet was lukewarm.

My husband and I are what you might call Indian food fanatics. We LOVE it. Since moving down to the Eugene area a few years ago for work we have been pretty disappointed with the choices we found. Evergreen was OKAY... Kind of gross and sort of unclean-feeling. We decided to settle down and bought a house in Cottage Grove... More
