We were treated to a very polite welcome by the waitress who had no problem explaining the menu and which items were spicy, etc. She had lots of great recommendations on what to have. The lamb schwarma was rich in flavor, the basmati rice perfectly cooked. I chose the yellow saffron rice but there is also a spicier version available.... More

This place is the big brother of the outstanding Le Cafe del Jebal in downtown Corvallis. The Cafe leans toward lighter fare, while Al Jebal itself has more substantial meals. My better half could eat their chicken schwarma every day, and it's a slightly different recipe than the Cafe's - she likes both, and she's a picky eater. Be sure... More

I'm writing this because I read a review from a person called "Tom L" saying that the employees don't receive any of it, I'm a current employee, I've been working here for 2 years and ever since we share the tips evenly, the cooks and servers, I don't know if that was before, but now the management doesn't get any... As a restaurant the food is good and the service is also good. it includes a Mediterranean market with authentic products. the Schwarma is excellent and the baba ganoush is also quite good. My issue with the business is this: The wait staff does not receive any tips. you may give them a tip, but management does not pass it... More

We stopped here for lunch when we were visiting family in the area, and we were very pleased with the food. We went to the place downtown (not the one with the grocery store, which is more a full-service restaurant). My husband had a falafel sandwich (which he said was excellent); I had beef kefta (also very good); our daughter... More

Good Middle Eastern food, and not too long to wait. A really nice restaurant, too. This restaurant/grocery store is hidden away behind a tire store, so it takes some effort to find. But it is worth the effort. I ordered take-away here and was pleased by the quality and quantity of my order. I would definitely recommend Al Jabal.

We had hummus, baba ganoush and falafel. Everthing was first rate. The baklava was just amazing. What a delightful change of pace. The restaurant is more like a take-out, with a few tables but it is very convenient to downtown (southern end just off 2nd) Corvallis. I mark them down on service as there was only one person working and... More

While I agree service is not their top priority, the lentil soup and hummus were so tasty. The hummus was smooth and flavorful, and the lentil soup had a slice of lemon that made it a delightful summer soup.

These guys are really on to something. More of a deli than a restaurant, great place for lunch. Nice to have food like this in corvallis. This is the kind of high quality middle eastern food that people queue up to eat at great Saturday markets. Their lamb is perfectly seasoned. The baba ganoush was among some of the best... More

Amazing place, I honestly can say I love this place. I has lunch the other day here and I was blown away, the food was great. All there meat is natural!! The lamb and beef is locally grown on their farm.
