Yum yum

It was our first time here & we'll be back. The babaganoush with hot pita bread was delicious, the lentil soup was just what we wanted on a cold, rainy day hiking up Mary's Peak. A squeeze of the fresh lemons they brought with it added the perfect touch. The meat they had in the store is locally... read more

Get tired of eating the same old stuff. You know like how many different ways can you make Mexican food..? Had Spaghetti Saturday night (Italian) Steak on Sunday and an invitation to dinner Monday night. I really wanted something different. Well, at least to me. It pays to scroll through what's in a town. I prefer the local joints...Great Lamb...reasonably... More

The food is good, it isn't the best quality I've ever had, but good flavor and huge portions. Prices were a bit higher than I expected, $10 - $15 per person. The service was nice and friendly and fast. We left around 5:00 pm and it was really filling up fast so I recommend an early dinner.

the food was absolutely fresh and abundant...........i was pleasantly surprised to see how busy they were in the early afternoon..........many repeat customers.......the entrees were brimming with fabulous creations......and the store that is attached, has everything you can buy to make your own......a very extensive variety of all sorts of food...

I was first introduced to this restaurant when it was located in Beaverton. The owner raises the lamb and beef per Halal standards. You can see the frozen meat in the market adjacent to the restaurant. The quality of the meat is well beyond what you can find at your local market. The price is proper for the quality and... More

Our first experience at Al Jebal was wonderful. The Baba Ghanouj is superb, and the main courses we chose were spectacular. I look forward to returning. There are also vegetarian options of you want to take a vegetarian friend there to eat. The grocery store attached is well worth exploring for the curious array of items they offer. The service... Really good food, and a welcoming, casual atmosphere. Only problem is not a lot of vegetarian options. But everything I've gotten there (including the daily specials) has been great. No alcohol, so if you want to drink, get your food to go.

We were treated to a very polite welcome by the waitress who had no problem explaining the menu and which items were spicy, etc. She had lots of great recommendations on what to have. The lamb schwarma was rich in flavor, the basmati rice perfectly cooked. I chose the yellow saffron rice but there is also a spicier version available.... More

This place is the big brother of the outstanding Le Cafe del Jebal in downtown Corvallis. The Cafe leans toward lighter fare, while Al Jebal itself has more substantial meals. My better half could eat their chicken schwarma every day, and it's a slightly different recipe than the Cafe's - she likes both, and she's a picky eater. Be sure... More
