Better than Block 15 in many ways

We ended up here after not getting in to the very popular Block 15 brewery, and we loved it for brunch or lunch. I had a yummy soup and salad, while the husband had biscuits and eggs. We both enjoyed breakfast drinks. Service was a little understaffed, but worth the wait.

Walking into Les Caves I had high hopes. Everything looked like it was in place, nice decor, hipster staff, long long lists of beers, and a seat by the window. Unfortunately, when the food came the bubble burst. Sunday evening and the burgers were a little overcooked, the fries over-fried and mussels that were, honestly, completely tasteless. There's a couple... More

Always great food, quality ingredients expertly prepared, can get a little loud as it is a small space. I have only been here for brunch and local beer/music and snacks. Great local place for anyone over the age of 25 or sophisticated youngsters.

At Corvallis interviewing some students and went here for dinner. It was quite busy, but we were seated in less than 10-minutes. Had the Pork Belly taco app...One had fish and wonderful fries, another had the Cave slow roasted Rost sammich and another lamb pasta. lol were delish and we each shared. It was all good. Careful of the beer...very... More

We went to the restaurant with a simple party of 2 on a Sunday morning at 11 am. We called ahead and made a reservation. We were there on time. The table was ready. We were cordially greater and sat. Then we just sat there. For 45 minutes, without a greeting by our server. We didn't even get a "I'll... More

We had eaten here for lunch a couple of years ago and it was pretty good. We went to brunch today and it was awful. I had the biscuit sandwich. First of all...I had never eaten a worse biscuit. The egg was rubbery and the sausage was a wad of dry meat that had no flavor at all. It was... More

In my search for the best grass-fed burger in Corvallis, I tried les Caves. While it was okay, it wasn't great. A bit overcooked for med-rare. The service is okay and it really is a pretty good place to go. I know - not the most helpful review ever, but it's what I got. ;-) If you're drinking (which I... More

We stopped in for a late breakfast. My wife had a salad, beautiful tasty greens, she loved it. I on the other hand had eggs Benedict, it was awesome, thick locally sourced ham, perfectly cooked eggs, and the hollandaise was clean the plate delicious. Which is what I did with part of the freshly baked ale roll that accompanied my... More

Many great beers to choose from on tap, in the bottle and even to go. Food is good too, but I can only speak for the smaller protioned late night choices. The service is friendly, allbeit a little slow. Next door is Block 15 and these places are similar with Les Caves being the little fancier of the two. More... More

Following a basketball game at Gill Coliseum (a narrow defeat of my MSU Bulldogs by the home team), my wife and I picked Les caves for an early dinner before our drive back to Portland. It was a Saturday, although it was the day after finals at OSU, so the place was only about 1/3rd full when we arrived at... More
