Amazing gluten free clam chowder!

The clam chowder at Sharkbites in Coos Bay is amazing! And it's gluten free!!!! Those of you who have celiac will appreciate how hard it is to find really good gluten free chowder. The rest of our meal was good too, but the chowder is what I remember. We went back on Sunday for lunch, but... read more

My daughter and I were traveling through the area recently and were recommended to dine here by our desk clerk at our hotel--she even called them to see how late they were open that evening--she said it was her Favorite restaurant! Our food and service were truly amazing! We started with the clam chowder--then I had the steamer clam with... More

Best calamari I've ever had. Friendly staff and good food with a fun atmosphere. One of our favorite places for date night

I'm not a fan of their menu offerings. A lot of fried foods, and those that I have tried are over cooked. Their burgers are decent. I've ordered their calamari twice and both times my order was overcooked and chewy. I'm also used to "real" calamari, i.e. legs and hoods, not chopped-up/reformed steaks that are then cut into strips. French... More

I ordered the special which was fish and chips with local cutthroat trout. I appreciated being able to substitute a salad for the friends. The fish was delicious and not too greasy. We each had a bowl of clam chowder which was good and not too heavy. Its easy to find and park. Oh yes, when you're there, look at... More

The fish tacos were great. The service was some of the slowest I have ever seen and the place was almost empty as we eat early. The second time the wait for our food was just as long. Will not be going back.

A co-worker and I stopped here for lunch since we were hungry because we didn't have breakfast. Once we were seated it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come over and take our order. We both ordered different things off the menu. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. We left and traveled to Portland... More

We stopped in for dinner while on a recent road trip. I loved the deco, but wasn't overly impressed with the food. I had the crab cake sandwich and the crab cake was pretty soft for the sandwich and the homemade fries where great. I did really like the tarter sauce they served.

At first site this place looks a little quirky but the food is great. The staff was great and they had some of the best fish and chips that I have had in a while.
