We had a nice dinner at Portside

We went to this restaurant with our relatives. It was a pleasant dinner with really great service. I had the fresh fish grilled. It was pretty plain and didn't have a lot of flavor. Maybe if it was offered blackened. The waitress was super cool and we really liked her.

We went to the Portside during our most recent visit to Bandon. The building is huge and very interesting to look at while inside, with a couple of impressive crab and lobster specimens in cases on the walls. Our server Cheryl was very kind and energetic. I don't have any complaints about her service whatsoever. The food: The steamed clam... More

I had dinner there with 7 other family members. They were all pleased with their meals but I was so unimpressed that I only finished my baked potato. The clam chowder was thin, had large chucks of potatoes, but seemingly no clams. The poached salmon had no flavor even with a cream sauce and shrimp topping. The grasshopper pie slice... More

The game comes on at 6, which is the end of Happy Hour, so we get there early enough to have a well drink or two. At 6PM, the pizzas start coming out. They do a pretty good job of getting enough out to be sure that everyone there for the $5 All-You-Can-Eat Pizza deal gets some. The pizzas are... More

Thank you Carrie for excellent service! Carrie was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. She made some excellent recommendations. Recommendation number one was the fried calamari. It was tender and tasty in a panko batter, probably the best calamari I have ever had. Second was the deep fried crab, much like the calamari, it was breaded in a panko crust... More

I just can't say anything really very positive about our personal experience. Old, worn, dirty, and way overpriced. The basic fish and chips was meager for 15. Kids have five or so choices, like the cheese sandwich and french fries, they all go for 8 dollars. Seafood is expensive, but plan on around 30 dollars a meal here for most... More

We have been here several times with a pretty good experience. This time in my opinion was sub par. Had the Surf and Turf at 55 bucks and would have been better getting a Big Mac. The Lobster was way over done and the Steak was way underdone. The apps were good steamer clams and oyster Rockefeller. My wifes seafood... More

Seafood is fresh, but destroyed with a heavy sauce and excess spices plus very expensive. It is hard to ruin fresh halibut, but they did. Service is OK. Not a place I would go back to or recommend.
