A Delicious Dinner

My boss and I were looking for a place to eat dinner that would offer us a different kind of eating experience. We were both hesitant to eat here, but our minds were changed by the time we left. The wines were delicious as was the food. Desert was different, it was lavender brûlée I do believe. It... read more

The best restaurant in Carlton, but far from the best in the area. The menu is limited, as is the wine list. The waiter is nice enough, but doesn't seem to understand questions from customers, or at least reply's vaguely. Food is reasonably well prepared by the chef, but the ingredients could be of higher quality.

Had a very nice dinner here after a long day of Pinot tasting. Quirky waiter with a very droll sense of humor added to the evening. I had the Tajine, a Morrocan lamb stew that was outstanding. Everyone one else enjoyed their main dish with the exception of the short ribs which were a bit dry and lacking in flavor.... More

The food was all a little bland other than the oysters which were dripping with grease. There was only one other table in the whole restaurant so it felt really empty and weird. The owner served us and I think was cooking as well. It was nice to meet him, but he was almost too involved in our dinner. I... More

I've visited Cuvee many times and am never disappointed. Gilbert does a terrific job, the salad nicoise and mushrooms on semolina are wonderful. Cuvee also has a very affordable selection of French wines if one wants a break from Oregon Pinots

Gilbert, the Chef-Owner of Cuvée is a terrific restauranteur. Having made it in Portland for many years, his French style bistro in Carlton, reminds me of eating in regular neighborhood joints all around Paris. Great food, no big deal. The PRIX FIXE is a winter staple in Carlton. under $30... you eat like a king.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner - fabulous escargots, squash soup, shrimp and scallops au gratin in a bechamel sauce accompanied by a bottle of French wine. I would highly recommend this small bistro while in the Oregon country!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

The real deal including the owner/host who is a quirky French expat. Good food, and of course good wines!

Cuve'e is a French wine term derived from cuve, meaning vat or tank. The term cuvée is used to express what flows out of the container...something thought of as higher quality than the average product. Chef Proprietor Gilbert Henry flows wonderfully gratifying food, wine and fellowship from his gem of a restaurant in Carlton, Oregon. The restaurant décor is simple,... More

If you are in the McMinnville area of Oregon this restaurant is well worth a visit. The food is excellent and value for money. We both enjoyed our meal and the banter with Gilbert the Chef Proprietor. Gilbert this meal was the best meal we have had whilst on holiday in the USA this year.
