If you are in Carlton, this is a sweet lunch spot. Casual. Small menu but tasty. They love their bacon here and so do we. Very limited hours. Lunch only. If you're not already in Carlton, it may not be worth the drive as there isn't much to see. McMinville or Newberg are better alternatives.

The wait for everything was a very long time. BUT it "was" really crowded. The food was great though.

If I had not made a point of marking this on my calendar, I would've forgotten we went here. What I do remember is that the tables were sitting there unbussed with four or five of them dirty and nobody coming around to help us even though they clearly saw we were there. The roast beef was medium well, when... More

We decided to get off the I-5 going from Seattle to Los Angeles to get a good lunch & it was worth it! The drive to Carlton is beautiful & The Horse Radish serves really good food. We had the excellent green salad with dried cranberries, hazelnuts & creamy goat cheese, the roast beef sandwich with Gorgonzola spread on focaccia... More

We had a great lunch today with outstanding service! Sat on back patio and had a couple of beers with soup and sandwich combo! Highly recommended!

Great smoked meat sandwich. Generous portion. Good wine list by the glass. Highly recommend. Carlton is a good place to stop on your wine journey through the AVA Ribbon Ridge.

This is a wonderful place for an afternoon sandwich after a day of wine tasting. The chocolate cake with caramel sauce is to die for. Salads and appetizers are just as tasty. My wife and I have been here many times and we’ve never been disappointed. Music and wine are on the menu for every Friday and Saturday evening. Try... More

Our party of 6 stopped here for lunch during a break from wine tasting. (Carlton has many tasting rooms; there are even more within a few miles.) Most of us had the special turkey sandwich. Simply delicious! Very hearty... the desserts looked fabulous but we were all too full to try them.

If you only have time for one meal in the area, go here. If you have time for another, go again. From food to service, it is well executed with a sense of hospitality rarely experienced. Friday nights you'll find live music that's fun and tasteful. Wide variety of local wines, cheeses, and entrees that satisfy the gamut of preference.
