Following our disappointment with a meal at a local restaurant the previous night, we made sure to thoroughly search through Trip Advisor reviews before selecting our next dinner option. Sweet Basil's menu caught my eye for delicious sounding appetizers and the fact that the Chef had extensive experience with Cajun and Creole cooking. Like many of Cannon Beach's cafes, the... More

My daughter and I really enjoyed this cafe. We chose it because she liked the vegetarian choices on the menu that was posted outside. The menu warned that at times there might be a long wait, because only one or two people work there and make everything fresh and to order. We were very pleasantly surprised by how soon we... More

I struck gold when I found this place. Walking down the street in Cannon Beach looking for dinner when I saw Sweet Basil and the had a live blues band! Outstanding crab cakes

Pretty good Cajun flavor for the Northwest. It's a small but cozy restaurant with additional outdoor seating. You're right next to the beach and shops, and a good place to swing by for dinner. I highly recommend the crayfish pie. It's spicy and delicious!

First, I love SBCafe's emphasis on local and organic. While the restaurant is small, it provides an intimate setting for fine dining without making you feel like you need to dress up. The menu is spectacular, covering local seafood, Cajun specialties, and local berry pie desserts! The night I went, there was live music that accented the experience perfectly. Excellent... More

The staff were very friendly and the food was fresh and simple. I found that lots of the food in Cannon beach catered to an older generation "meat and potatoes" palate. I like fresh simple food made from local ingredients, and more modern flavours and taste. The food had lots of vegetables in it, was well flavoured, was not fatty... More

Visited Sweet Basil's cafe on the strength of the trip advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed! The clam appetiser was delicious as was the entree seafood jambalaya. Wonderful to see into the open kitchen have no idea how they produce such delights in such a small space everything that came out from the kitchen looked wonderful . Would definitely go... More

Off the beating track within a small shopping area, looked very small from the outside. The staff was very friendly ... the food prep area was open ... the atmosphere was pretty relaxing and the food was very good. That said, the restaurant is quite cramped and it did get very busy and crowded after we got there. As we... More

We enjoyed the cheese platter prior to our meals. Crab cakes were delicious and the salmon was amazing. Great service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
