My husband and I had looked forward to dine at Sweet Basil's and had looked at some delicious choices on their menu. However, after being seated with the menu we sat and sat and sat waiting for a wait person to show up. After more than a half hour waiting we just got up and left. Granted the menu describes... More

We eat at Sweet Basil's every time we're in Cannon Beach - often more than once - the food is that good. Always creative, interesting, healthy and delicious. Excellent selection of wines, too. We usually bring our Great Pyrenees, Molly, and she is welcome to eat with us at one of the outside tables. The servers are even attentive to... More

Cozy cafe that features a great menu with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan choices. All freshly prepared by Tom Sowa, the owner. On Saturday nights there's no cover music. I'll be returning to it the next time I'm in town.

Hubby and I were looking for something healthy and light. They do have turkey and fish here, it's not all vegan. Many organic things on the menu. I had their creole red bean soup, it was so flavorful and yummy. Hubby had the Ecuadorian lentil soup which was also very tasty. Hubby had their chicken salad sandwich and I had... More

I might be a little Bias as I am an employee, but I am a foodie and everyday I'm just amazed at the dishes and character that this restaurant has. Crabmeat and artichoke melt down to the Osso Buco, I really feel we give a "Dining Experience" to our guests...

I ate at Sweet Basil's twice on my recent trip to Cannon Beach. Go for the pulled pork sandwich -- it's delicious! The service was good and the food is a good value, especially for a resort town. I would definitely go back.

Food was so good, very tasteful, nice service, we had live music, the ambiance was excellent. They do slow food which is so nice, as European that is a refreshing find in the USA, more restaurants should follow! Go there for an tasty meal in a nice restaurant

Sweet Basil's Cafe is set back from the main street in Cannon Beach and is literally a hole in the wall restaurant. You walk in the door and there is the kitchen behind the counter and a few tables indoors and a couple more outside along the pathway. The food though is to die for...the crab and artichoke melt was... More

Cannon Beach is packed with places to eat (as well as tourists!) but Sweet Basil's Cafe is the kind of out-of-the-way small cafe you always hope to find when on vacation. My wife had a delicious salad with apples, cranberries, chicken and a delightful dressing while I chose the Cubano sandwich which had thick layers of ham and pulled pork... More

The food is natural, organic, wild, and local with an emphasis on vegetarian. There are plenty of meat choices as well. The menu is unique, the food was very good, and there were great wines on the menu. There are only a few tables in the French styled décor restaurant but their wine bar is adjacent and connected with more... More
