Good food. Nice atmosphere

Excellent food, reasonably price, friendly service. Lots of wine selection. Seating inside and out. This was my first time in Canon Beach. Eating while having live music was a treat!

This small café tucked away at the end of a walkway serves food with a New Orleans flair. They warn you that everything is cooked to order and nothing is prepared in advance so don't be in a hurry. Even the vegetables are cut fresh. They offer entrees but I decided on the tapas. 2 were more than enough for... More

Attempted to eat dinner there tonight. We were seated quickly but more than 15 minutes later, there was no acknowledgement of our existence, no water offered. Finally my husband spoke with one of the Servers to inquire who could take our order, she said she did not know. We left promptly.

We caught the last week of the pre-season prix fixe dinner menu, which was great value. The no-booking policy could probably be a drag later in the summer but we struck lucky and got a table more or less as soon as we walked up. Genuinely friendly service and welcoming service and first-class food. Outstanding value compared with other places... More

I love funky places that have creative food and this one fits that bill. We are outside on picnic table. I had great salad; and crab on dunguness crab that was great. Partner had osso bucco, also good. Great desert. Folk musician playing - it was great.

We've vacationed in Cannon Beach for years. This being the first we've dined at Sweet Basil's after getting a glowing recommendation from friends. We had a wonderful lunch - to set the expectation, the bistro is small with indoor and outdoor seating - and it was BUSY immediately after opening for the day. In fact we could not believe how... We made the mistake of eating here one in evening in June 2015 while staying in Cannon Beach. Although the food itself was quite good, there are too many negatives otherwise to recommend it. The service was horrible. It took quite a long time for our waiter to appear, more time to bring back drinks, more time to take our... More

Fabulous food at moderate prices with great service and good wines. The chef is from New Orleans was trained and worked for the great Paul Prudhomme. The influence is clearly represented by some incredible dishes such as jambalaya and many other New Orleans standards, but the preparation is better than many that I've tasted in some of that culinary heaven... Sweet Basil's is a small eatery with great service, a nice ambience and very good food. We enjoyed lunch out on the patio one sunny Friday afternoon and it was exactly what I hoped for. The lunch menu has many healthy (yet hearty) options to choose from such as salads, wraps and sandwiches. The turkey basil wrap was delicious and... More
