If you want local atmosphere and decent food, good choice. If you are really into food, not so much. I made my husband, who is really into food, go last night, yup, we had a quick 45 min dinner...

Tried SBC when recently vacationing in CB with family. The place is comfortable with patio tables and a cozy interior. The wine selection is decent and the service efficient. Food wise they prepare everything fresh so yes it takes a little while to get the food but when you are in vacation it's not a big deal especially since it's... More

We visited Sweet Basil's for lunch during our stay in Cannon Beach. There are roughly 10 tables inside, a couple outside.... and only one elderly server and one chef. So, if business is slow, no problem. If all of the tables are filled, you will wait. People actually left after they were seated due to the wait. They could hire... More

We stopped in to get a couple sandwiches to go. We were asked to wait at a table outside. The restaurant is small and the kitchen is open to view. The chef came out and took our order. My husband chose the vegetarian Reuben and I had the baked eggplant sandwich. Both were delicious. The side of fresh coleslaw was... More

My wife and I stopped by here for lunch. She is a vegetarian so it is always difficult to find a restaurant we can both enjoy this is one of those restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and the place was just hopping. My wife had a grilled eggplant sandwich and I had the pulled pork. Both were fantastic. Defiantly... More

If you are vegetarian you will find good eatings here. Food was very tasty. Service did fall apart as we stayed there...seemed to be understaffed

Nice outdoor seating. Friendly staff. I had a portobello sandwich on the best gluten free bread I've ever had. My husband had pulled pork sandwich and he said it was excellent. The food was worth the wait!

Their veggie pot pie came so close to absolutely delicious. The crust was flaky and the sauce was delicious. But there could have been three times as much vegetables, it was mostly sauce. How expensive would it have been to throw in some more carrots, potatoes and broccoli? The pot pie, no bread or salad--nothing else, was $16. Too much... More
