Food was so good, very tasteful, nice service, we had live music, the ambiance was excellent. They do slow food which is so nice, as European that is a refreshing find in the USA, more restaurants should follow! Go there for an tasty meal in a nice restaurant

Sweet Basil's Cafe is set back from the main street in Cannon Beach and is literally a hole in the wall restaurant. You walk in the door and there is the kitchen behind the counter and a few tables indoors and a couple more outside along the pathway. The food though is to die for...the crab and artichoke melt was... More

Cannon Beach is packed with places to eat (as well as tourists!) but Sweet Basil's Cafe is the kind of out-of-the-way small cafe you always hope to find when on vacation. My wife had a delicious salad with apples, cranberries, chicken and a delightful dressing while I chose the Cubano sandwich which had thick layers of ham and pulled pork... More

The food is natural, organic, wild, and local with an emphasis on vegetarian. There are plenty of meat choices as well. The menu is unique, the food was very good, and there were great wines on the menu. There are only a few tables in the French styled décor restaurant but their wine bar is adjacent and connected with more... More

We tried two starters, two tapas and one main course of jambalaya All were excellent and had great flavor and savory aromas music provided a great background to add to the ambiance. Staff was very helpful. Chef loved his work. Would recommend this restaurant to anybody... More

After stopping by for a drink at Sweet Basil's on our first night in Cannon Beach, we decided to go back the next night for dinner. We chose 3 tapas dishes and shared. The clam dish was exceptional and the amount we ordered was just enough for us. The atmosphere was very friendly and the music was good. Highly recommended.

Sweet Basil's is one of the better places in Cannon Beach to get a very nice meal or less than one would pay in several other spots in town. The tapas menu offers quality and variety, but there are more "conventional" main courses for those interested: I was sorely tempted to go for the osso bucco, but decided on tapas... More

We visited Cannon Beach and were looking for a nice, quiet place to enjoy a light meal. Decided on this place due to good reviews. We were seated quickly, and our orders were taken almost right away. When the food arrived, I was dismayed to find that the "Carolina barbeque sauce" on the pulled pork was nothing like the real... More
