We stopped in for a seafood picnic lunch at Ecola. We picked up crab and shrimp cocktails as well as some pickled herring. All were nice fresh and reasonably priced. A nice spot for a Quick bite Fish and chips looked good but lines were too long :)

The open faced crab sandwich is my mandatory meal! We often order a bunch of crab & shrimp as well as chowder to go and enjoy a wonderful fresh seafood meal at the vacation home and then snack on any leftovers the next day (crab omelette anyone??). It is often busy with a long line - especially Summer weekends -... More

Saw reviews for Ecola and stopped in to give this place a try. If you are looking for frills and glimmer this place isn't what you are looking for, but if you are looking for a great meal stop in. I ordered the tuna fish and chips, the missus ordered the halibut fish taco that is huge. Absolutely great food.... More

This place has "market" in the name so any expectations of being a fancy sit down restaurant are kind of goofy. It's a very east coast seafood style spot with a glass case filled with food you get to pick out and then pick up in a plastic basket. Awesome! Their chowder is really tasty and the crab cocktail is... More

Definitely casual dining, which I wasn't quite expecting. Halibut fish and chips were good. I could taste the fish more so than the breading, which is always a plus. My friend had the salmon fish and chips and it was a vast improvement over the salmon at the place we went for lunch. I didn't see much on the menu... More

We have always enjoyed our food here. It is very fresh and cooked well. The atmosphere is a little lacking with the shrill loudspeaker calling out order numbers as they come up. Next time we will try to get a table outside.

After waiting in line to order our lunch, we found a place to sit at the counter, once a few people left and there was room for two to sit together. If the weather had been a bit nicer, we would have taken our food and eaten outside. We ordered the Halibut fish & chips, which are cooked right and... More

It is pretty pricey considering you order at the counter, then go pick it up yourself when they call your name, and it comes in a plastic basket. Having said that - it is right off the boat and really really good. I especially loved that the staff was completely upfront about which items were freshest, which had been frozen,... More

We've now visited Ecola twice, the first time to buy fresh fish to cook at our rental and the second for more fresh fish and some lunch. On both occasions, the line was long and moved slowly, so be prepared to wait. You will order at a register, and what can be dished out or delivered right away is provided... More
