The weather was unusually good on our 2 night stay in Cannon Beach in early June (before accomodation prices went up). Two of the restaurants we used to go to are no longer in business and a third's quality had diminished. It was a mid-week night and we tried here. The line was out the door to the parking lot... We visited this restaurant last week at the height of the tourist season. Although crowded we got a table in the lounge. The service was great and we ordered the clam chowder, salad, and dungeness crabs. Along with the local draft beer this place was a real treat. Located in the heart of the downtown area and walkable to all... More

we went here on a Saturday night for my boyfriend's birthday. I guess I should have made a reservation because everyone else in town was eating here too. we ended up waiting for a table in the bar area, which was fine except it was chilly in there so it was hard to get really comfortable. I had read reviews... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at The Driftwood. We hope that your boyfriend had a great birthday! Sorry for the uncomfortable wait in the bar area. With the doors open to the patio it can get a little cold for some and we would be happy to let you borrow a Driftwood blanket during your... More

For Cannon Beach, it was good. Service was good. Very friendly staff. Food was decent. Tasty but not amazing and a bit over priced. Mid to high twenties for each dinner entree, but they felt like they should have been priced in the high teens. The sourdough bread that comes with some of the entrees with VERY good! The wait... Thank you for your review of The Driftwood. We understand the frustration of having to wait for a table during the very busy summer months but we appreciate your patience. We also appreciate your kind words about our staff and will share your experience with them. More

The restaurant is on the main street of Cannon beach and always looked busy. That's why we didn't want to try it the first 2 days in here. But after the disappointments in the Lumberyard Grill and other restaurants, we thought that we should give a try with Driftwood. And we regretted that we didn't try it earlier. My husband... More

After a long wait, we were seated in at a grungy roommate a table that didn't feel clean. The food was incredibly average. Everyone seemed to be ordered heavily battered deep fried fish and chips and fries. The outside eating area is fun but only open to adults. I say take a pass.

We are very disappointed to read that you had such a bad experience with us. While we know that wait times can be longer in the summer months we work very hard to exceed your expectations once seated. We are truly sorry that we were not able to do that for you. More

We went here based on a recommendation from our hotel, but we weren't very impressed. We wanted something casual and not too pricey. It was a great casual place, and the food was decent, but overpriced for the quality. The next time we're at Cannon Beach, we'll probably try someplace else.

We dined outside on clam chowder, house salad with wasabi/ginger vinaigrette and sipped BloodyMary's as we watched well behaved beautiful canine relaxing by the fire !
