This restuarant is part of a hotel and is a great place to go for the view of Haystack rock and quick access to the beach. After a few days of eating seafood, I had heard the Wayfarer had a mean burger and I wanted to see for myself. Wow and wow! I love burgers. I seek them out. It... more

I went with my mom and stepdad and brought my two year old daughter. The staff was so nice and went out of their way more than once to meet our requests. The view was magnificent. It was expensive but food was so so so good. We also had dessert which was fabulous! I would definitely recommend it to anyone. more

Went here for a beautiful brunch last November. Spectacular view, and very good service. The waiter was very attentive to all of us including our son who is five. We were pleasantly suprised with how good the food was, and nicely presented. The Halibut was superb. Nice afternoon all the way around. more

We were sooo dissapointed and let down with our meals. The waitor was excellent and extremely helpful. His descriptions and the menu descriptions left us wanting to stay several days to try all the items. The Northwest Seafood stew sounded great but the seafood was overcooked and tough.....and tasteless. The crab-crusted salmon was described as succulent and sweet. The salmon... more

Visited on Oct 1, 2008. After touring Cannon Beach and enjoying GREAT shopping, my wife and I decided to have lunch at the Wayfarer. It had been recommended by a salesperson earlier whom we asked: “If you were going to lunch right now, where would you be going?” Wayfarer was the immediate response. (By the way, that’s THE perfect way... more

Although fairly expensive, the food that we had at this restaurant was extremely good – the Halibut Steverino, Pan Fried Oysters and a chicken dish whose name we don't remember were superb. The service and ambiance were also top notch. We arrived without reservations but were able to get seated immediately, though not at a table with a view! We... more

This was the only restaurant in Cannon Beach we could find with a great view of Haystack Rock. We ended up with the best table in the place(made a reservation and asked for a window table) from which we could see the rock as well as the parade of people going to/coming from the beach. Though we picked it for... more

We made reservations for dinner after our wedding on the beach. We were promptly seated when we arrived, and at a window table, which I requested. They were more than happy to take our small cake we brought with us and keep it in the back until we were ready for dessert. Our waitress was attentive to start, by towards... more

We ate at this restaurant on June 29, 2008 and were disappointed. The steamed dungeness crab I ordered (for $27.50) was tasteless, probably because it was not fresh. The grilled oysters we ordered had the spices that masked all the flavors of the oysters. Yes, the view is good but the food is bad. May be you shall go for... more
