We came here for a birthday dinner last summer and we plan to visit again this summer! We had delicious sushi here and several delighful japanese dishes. The chef was awesome and came out to tell us about the specials. Best place to eart sushi on the coast!

Wanting to satisfy our palate for some fresh sushi, my wife and I were directed by some friends to this little place in Cannon Beach, Oregon. What a surprise! Cannon Beach has become this trendy, kinda hoity-toity place which doesn't exactly suit our tastes. But this little restaurant sure did! Our chef was Riley, and he prepared our sushi with... More

The place itself is very essential. I would recommend to buy bigger tables rather than combining smaller ones. In any case, the food was good even if I am not a sushi expert. The service person seemed to be quite stressed up and several adjustments (minor) we asked didn't show up.

We were looking for JP's restaurant, but in it's place was Fishes Sushi. (JP's closed and I will miss it. Great place for great menu and excellent food at a reasonable price.) The prices here are higher than other sushi places in Portland, but the quality was excellent. The miso soup had so much more flavor and it had fresh--not... More

This is our new favorite restaurant in Cannon Beach. We dined there for the second time and it was just as great the second time. On our first trip the sushi chef took the time to do a demo for our kids on how to roll sushi. I love the yellowtail roll and their noodle soups. It is an upscale... More

First off, it is with some regret that I am compelled to write this review for one of the few restaurants in Cannon Beach that agreed to take a reservation for our large party. Fishes Restaurant was very accommodating for a party that included 2 toddlers and a request for separate checks for numerous families but the accolades stop there.... More

We loved our appetizers: had spring rolls, crispy chicken skin and soft shell crab tempura. I had miso soup, which was some of the best I've ever eaten. I then had tuna and unagi sashimi, pretty good. My spider roll was tasty and fresh.my husband had the teriyaki chicken breast which was overcooked. My main disappointment was there were so... More

Reservations recommended! Ours were for 6:30 and by 7:00 the restaurant was full. Overall, the food was very good! The salmon rolls and miso soup were quite good, tempura vegetables and the tempura vegetables and tempura zucchini were excellent. We ordered the summer rolls and they were not very good - cold and rather flavorless. The service was excellent and... More
