Like, you know, even for us cognoscenti guys, this place makes great coffee. We cognoscenti types do not indulge in such lowbrow items like lattes, otherwise known as coffee flavored milk, but the cappuccino has rich flavor without even a hint of bitterness. The baristi (plural for barista for you non-Italians) are knowledgable and friendly and even put up with... More

This is literally the best coffee we have ever had. If you are new, try the monastery blend. Also, the staff are all great! Great coffeehouse!

I love stopping in at Sleepy Monk everyone is so friendly! The coffee is amazing and try their bacon blue cheese scones they are to die for!! During the summer time there's usually a line but worth waiting for their delicious coffee!

Had the best coffee in Cannon Beach, great coffee house atmosphere but the experience was tainted by the rudeness-masking-as-efficiency of the person taking our order so can only rate it 2 out of 5. I guess it could have been worse as later she loudly called out a customer for not leaving a tip. Turned out she had not seen... More

We had some of this coffee first in our hotel room at the Surfsand. It was packaged for the hotel which is across the street from the coffee shop. Stopped in on our way out of town to get some cappuccino for the road. Small space with lots of customers but the baristas were fast. Our barista noticed my choice... More

We visited The Sleepy Monk on a Tuesday morning in late September. We didn't have to look very hard for it while driving. It was evident from the number of people sitting out front in the Adirondack chairs that it's a popular place. My mocha was perfect and the pastries were delicious, but it's the vibe here. It seems to... More

Really great coffee. At night it turns into a great Irish restaurant! Would have liked to see more food options at the coffee shop, but they did have excellent coffee!

We were introduced to this coffee at our vacation rental. They had a half pound on the counter for our stay. We loved it and brought some back to Iowa with us. Smooth and tasty.

Sleepy Monk is a MUST DO! Just made sure you brace yourself for a wait. The coffee is outstanding and the staff is awesome! Scones are TO DIE FOR but you have to get there very early if you want to try them :) Takeaway beans are excellent too. We live in Seattle and stock up on coffee beans every... More

Best mocha I've ever had, and I've had thousands of them all around the world. Literally, the best. Arrive early, expect to wait in line, and if you can leave a nice tip. These folks are the real deal, they work hard all summer and their coffee and pastries are amazing. I fully expect this same mocha and scone to... More
