Love the latte's

Stopped in The Place To Be Cafe, for a latte. Wonderful coffee flavor, and enjoyed a cute little veggie tray too.

Food is terrible and the staff are rude. They are snappy about waiting at your table and don't appear to care about kids. Food is delivered at different times and quality is dismal. If you want to throw away your money, then it's the place to be...

Here is a surprise in a small town. Tables are set up w/easels, clean canvas, paint daubs on paper plates, 3 paint brushes, you can order soup, sandwiches, deserts, coffee, tea, wine, beer. The instructor is at the front w/a completed picture of what we are to paint, she guides us in how to start and shows on her canvas... More

Looking for just the right spot with an atmosphere for chat and great food, The Place To Be Cafe was the perfect fit for our rendezvous. So good in fact (the chocolate flourless cake for dessert), that we nearly closed the place on Sunday afternoon. Thank you TPTBC!

Originally attended a local author book signing here; returned to grab and go a delicious mocha drink while waiting for a local parade to start. Menu offers many delightful hot and cold beverages and light food faire such as pastries, donuts, sweet breads in a serve yourself atmosphere. Is conveniently located in a cute retro part of downtown--easy stroll from... More

My youth group started a girls Bible study at the place to be cafe, a nice country style place which makes the tastiest of drinks, which is the perfect choice because it has a nice, quiet atmosphere for studying. The drinks are to die for, not to mention their sugar delights with Gluten Free options! They started to make sandwiches... More

My friend from Dallas, Oregon, and I were trying to find a place where we could meet for some handspinning time that'd be about halfway between where we both live. I checked online, and found The Place to Be Café. It looked promising, so my friend called to find out if it'd be okay if we brought our spinning wheels... More

Love this coffee shop. Great people and great treats. Easy and cozy to sit down on the sofa and have a nice conversation with whoever you are with.

Recently in contention for Best Coffee Shop in the country, the Place to Be delivers on its name. A popular local hangout with music on the weekends, periodic painting classes and local gatherings, it is indeed a gathering place for the community. Specializing in both hot and cold drinks along with local desserts and a decent food menu for both... More

I was out for a Sunday drive, checking out garage sales, etc., when I got hungry. I remembered a cafe on the frontage street of Canby, 1st Ave, just West of 99E, but I couldn't find it. I did the loop down the 6 blocks or so and found The Place To Be one more street to the West. A... More
