The food was outstanding, but as soon as we did not order liquor, the waitress wrote us off. The service was very slow after that. We would have ordered desert, but since she took her time waiting on every table in the place, even though we were clearly finished, we decided not to get anything else. Too bad, the chef... More

My husband and I were eager to return to Kokanee Cafe remembering how exceptional it was on previous visits --the last one being four years ago. We just went again this weekend and were disappointed. We split the antipasto which had several items on the tray…the best being a tasty fritatta. The remaining morsels were sparse and aren't worth mentioning... More

Well how 'bout stream to table? That's what could have been said of my wife's dish at Kokanee Cafe a few nights ago; grilled, stuffed, fresh trout filets, stacked on crispy polenta, a bed of spinach beneath, and surrounded by other savory delights. Probably didn't, but could very easily have come from the picturesque Metolius River, bubbling by just yards... More

It's worth driving out of Sisters to come here. Cafe doesn't actually describe it, its an excellent restaurant serving very good food, and allowing you to bring your own wine if you want to. We had a very pleasant evening here, with all the above, and attentive servers. We will definitely go again, next time we are in Sisters

Never would have found this place if it weren't for TripAdvisor but it sounded so intriguing we had to check it out. We got reservations at 8:30. Full of lots of people who didn't look like they'd come for the camping. Bread comes with olive oil and a house made spice mix. I had poached tuna, which is basically like... More

We visited Kokanee Cafe on a round trip from Bend over the McKenzie Pass. The location was perfect for the early evening during the return leg back to Bend. The alternative would have been somewhere in Sisters. Salad starters were fine and we split a double cut pork chop for our main course which was no problem at all for... More

Was very excited to go back here after visiting last September but we were disappointed. The food was not bad, it just was not great. The antipasto plate that changes daily (I think) tasted as though it was left over from the day before, actually none of it had much taste. The seasoning they give you with your bread and... More

Everyone in our family of eight was pleased: a lovely location in the woods, very friendly and professional service and enough variety on the menu to satisfy us all. I had the pork ribs which were well-flavored. The lamb ribs were tastier. This restaurant strives for the upscale so it's not inexpensive.

This restaurant has had a variety of owners and chefs over the last few years, and some have been better than others. The emphasis has always been on sourcing Northwest ingredients and putting them together in interesting ways--a good thing! But it may be that the quest for new and unusual is going too far. For example, the deconstructed chicken... More

In the middle of the woods surrounded by giant trees and camp grounds and the amazing Metolius River is this little gem. We entered not sure what to eat and left loving every bite. Thanks Kokanee. We will be back!
