The Meathook is closed. Figaro's Pizza Pub has taken over the building. They gave it their best effort, but just was not enough business in our small community.

Stop in recently to have a great dinner. Haven't been in for three years. Took entire family. Local person stated that it was not a very good place anymore period but wanted to go.... First off, the blond hair girl cleaning tables gave us a extensive view of her butt crack and most of cheeks as she bent over table.... More

After an 8 hour of driving and some Internet research on where to eat in Burns we decided on the Meat Hook. As the reviews said the decor was casual western and the steak was really great. The clams were good, the bread was really good, and the service was great. It is nice to get a rare steak when... More

We stopped for the night in Burns and asked the desk clerk for a restaurant. He pointed us to the Meat Locker. As another reviewer said it was a bit pricey but the food was ample for sharing. The soecial that night was a16 oz. ribeye. My husband and I like our meat cooked to different temps and the server... More

Most people seemed to be local and were obviously enjoying themselves. The waitresses were especially helpful, as I was requesting something off the menu.

I loved the service, the cook came out the clarify my order and cooked my steak just right for me. The wait gal was very friendly and helpful. The place is run down but close to my hotel and the food was great. I'd go back

Good food, decent service, nice atmosphere. The green bean chili was excellent and my son's roast beef sandwich was very good. I'd go there again next time I'm in Burns.

Their special of the day was all-you-can-eat taco that night. It was Thursday night past 6pm and the restaurant was half full. By my quick observation, about 30% of the patrons were enjoying the taco special and the taco looked pretty good and enticing. But at the place named Meat Hook, I couldn’t allow myself to be strayed from ordering... More

Meals here used to be sensational, but over the last couple years they haven't been up to their earlier standard. Still, one of the best meals available in Burns.

For beef country, I expect better beef! We raise our own cattle and eat our own meat... I think its a bit sad when I can eat a better steak cooked at home than at a steakhouse.
