We've eaten at Rancho Viejo about 10 times in the last few years. The food has usually been good and the service average. Last weekend, however, the service was absolutely horrible - actually almost non-existent! We were seated pretty quickly in one of their booths, not far from the entrance, below a very hot and bright hanging light fixture. The... More

My wife and I went there for lunch. I had the Taco & Enchilada meal. I usually do not care for the refried beans but here they are fantastic. I have had the Chili Relenos here before and it was excellent. My wife had the Combo Appetizer, we should have split it as it was lots of good food. The... More

Due to some mechanical problems, we pulled into Brookings fairly late in the evening, and by the time we got our RV unhitched, it was about 9:30 pm. This place was open :-) I had a chicken enchilada a la crema which was quite good. My husband had the Patron steak which he said was just okay. Portions were largish.... More

We dine here regularly and were delighted when the owners remodeled the inside. It is so much nicer now. The food is also good although last time we went they were understaffed and the food was not served hot. :(

Lunch was excellent today! Note the age of the negative reviews and take that in account when you look at this place. I just had some of the best mole chicken enchiladas I've had. Two thumbs up!!

We stopped here based on the other TA reviews and we weren't disappointed! The food was good. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The portions were huge. The prices were very reasonable considering the size of the portions.

This is the third Mexican restaurant we've tried in the Brookings area and we prefer the food here and by far they have the best salsa - chunky and a bit of a hot after burn but very tasty. We both got the ground beef super burrito for $9.95 each which seems to be the going price at all Mexican... More

The place seemed to be still a bit unfinished but the food and serving size was wonderful. Lunch was a beef burrito with rice and beans for $5. My wife had enchiladas. Great price! Great Food!! Maybe I should have had two lunches. Easy parking right off 101 in Brookings.

Great Mexican food and great prices. Although I differ on the definition of pico de gallo with the cook -- the dinner was fantastic. Prices reasonable. I will go again when I'm in the area.

There were many choices for Mexican food in Brookings, so we chose the one that had the most cars in its parking lot, as we hadn't asked around for a recommendation. We were pleased to find that the food was very good. The servers were incredibly nice, though a bit unorganized/forgetful, but that may be due to the remodeling going... More
