This is a typical Hong Kong-style Chinese restaurant with red and gold dragon decor. Food and service are acceptable but not outstanding.

When it first opened, the food was terrible. They have some new cooks and it is getting better. Chow Mein was not fit to eat when they opened, and it hasn't gotten better. They have wonderful orange chicken and rice. I'll keep trying different things.

This place appeared to have the best ratings for Chinese food in Brookings but we were definitely not impressed. The crab rangoons that came with our lunch tasted very weird (like they had goat cheese in them??), there was a lot of oil in the sauces on our food and not a lot of flavor. Their hot & sour soup... We were looking for something simple for dinner in Brookings and decided to try this place. What a find! The food was outstanding to excellent and not in not small portions either. We are picky about our Chinese food but this place did not disappoint. The service was excellent. Eat in or order out. And best of all with our... More

We tired another Chinese restaurant (Onion Grill) last time we were in Brookings and prefer the food at Dragon Palace. My husband got the Shrimp Chow Yuk and I got the Kung Pao Deluxe (chicken, shrimp and beef mix). Service was excellent - we had our hot tea within minutes of sitting down. Our food was good and the Kung... More

I went to Dragon Palace on a random craving during a recent visit to Brookings. On my arrival the place was dead, but was happily greeted by the server with a menu, I placed a to go order and was offered tea and water while I waited. The wait was maybe 5 minutes. I was extremely surprised by the quality... More

I found the food to be a little bland, but the portions were good. Prices are a little high for Chinese food.

Best chinese take away that we have tried in a long time. However, the portions are so big, I wish we had bought one meal to share between the two of us.

These chefs have regained the fresh Chinese cuisine, that so many of these restaurants have lost. Their Egg Foo Yung and Chow Mein is made the older way with fresh sprouts instead of the easier and cheaper noodles that most restaurants are now using. The soy sauce is a good quality, And they actually still serve fortune cookies, which most... More

The food was tasty, but nothing blew us away, I love BBQ pork, but the one that I had here was a bit overcooked and tough. The chicken was good and the spicy dish my hubby had was also good. The server was polite and smiling, but she was the only one and was also taking care of a large... More
