Just moved here to town

Arrived late to town, it was raining and cold. We were in the mood for clam chowder. We met an adorable older couple that are townies and they made us feel like we were right at home. Loved the chowder bowl.

We ate at Sporthaven Marina this evening. We were greeted by our server, Kandi. She was so great! Started off with our appetizers of Flying Pigs.Heavenly little bites of BBQ pork with a great dipping sauce. On Saturdays, the owner, Howard, kncks it out of the park with his menu of BBQ smoked treats like beef ribs, pork ribs, brisket... More

Not bad for a quick family lunch. Chowder was ok , fish and chips a little greasy, the BBQ sandwich was excellent I think they should just focus on BBQ lol...prices are very reasonable, above average for the area. Thanks

The outside dining area for warmer weather is the perfect place to get the expected fish and chips and chowder at the coast.

On the way back from watching whales at Cape Ferello, we stopped at the Sporthaven Marina, a nice, casual, comfortable restaurant. My husband had fish and chips with clam chowder; he says the fish and chips were really good, great tartar sauce and probably the best coleslaw he's ever had (I agree, I took a bite of it). And the... More

They have great chowder! The fish and chips is normal. Staff are super friendly and the place is always super clean. Lots of locals hang out here so you know it is good.

The atmosphere here is great! The servers are extremely helpful and friendly. The owners have personally greeted us numerous times. The food is always consistently good and offers good portions. Their chowder is always great! If you are lucky enough to come here when the owners are doing BBQ you are in for a real treat!! I have never had... More

Tried this place out on the recommendation of our camp host. So glad we did. The chowder was great and I had it with garlic toast, no bread bowl. My honey had the fish tacos Cajun style and loved them. Staff was friendly and great service. Our new go to place for lunch.

We were told to go to Zola's for pizza while we were in Brookings. We were too full from lunch for pizza and show Sporthaven Marina close by. Walked over and got in just before closing. Clean and nice and the staff was very friendly. Got the clam chowder and glad we did. It was and and enough for our... More
