This restaurant is out of business as well as the motel next to it. I am a local and thought it would be helpful for travelers to know not to plan on stopping here to eat. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area.

We actually stayed at the hotel and we were told we had breakfast included. Walking inside they were friendly and quick to seat us. Our waitress kept my coffee coming! I had the mini omelet, and there several you can choose from. Mine was just ham, cheese, onion. But what was really good was the hash browns, and there was... More

We arrived in Brookings late in the evening & most of the restaurants were closed , My husband didn't want to go to the Flying Gull because it held bad memories but we had no choice . We went there for dinner the day of his mother's memoriaL years ago & we weren't impressed with the food or atmosphere .... More

Our group ate breakfast in two shifts, early and late. We ordered practically everything on the menu, and received consummate service and perfectly prepared tasty meals. The short wait for food was welcomed by our kids and adults alike. This is the quintessential short order breakfast place even down to the architecture. I gladly gave the waitress a generous tip,... Food is OK but no more. Place is clean and servers are very nice. Loved the stuffed potatoes and their specials are generous and usually pretty good. Simple food....

One of the all time worst service experiences ever. Waited 10 minutes for coffee. 15 minutes for water. Took 50 minutes to get a runny poached egg 1/2 an English muffin and a couple pieces of bacon. Had I been paying for the breakfast I would have left. The service was horrid thru the whole restaurant. A family came in... More

The food is just OK. At least once, the health department has closed this place down to have a good cleaning. Outside in the back, are the staff smoking. They usually look like they need a good cleaning also. I won't go there, and wouldn't advise anyone to eat there.

I don't think I've ever had a worse experience doing anything in my life. We're a family that tries to find the silver lining in everything and this was just red flagging all over the place. Never. Again. I don't care how hungry I am.
