Four Years Later Still Great!

Last time I was at the Art Alley Grille was April, 2011. Now four years later in April, 2015 nothing has changed. It is still an exceptional dining experience. Visited Art Alley Grille for dinner on 4-18-2015. Made a reservation, which is a must. Had a nice table along the wall, in the larger of the two downstairs rooms. Restaurant has a total of 14 tables, all set closely together. Even so, the noise level is low and you can conduct a private conversation. Service was alright. There was... More

We live 100 miles away and last year when visiting Brookings we decided to try the Art Alley Grille, based on a recommendation from our neighbor. That recommendation was spot on. This year we drove the 200 miles, round trip, just to enjoy another fantastic meal for my wife's birthday. The food, service and ambiance are over the top. In... More

This is a small intimate restaurant with wonderful atmosphere as well as food. We have eaten here several times and each meal is excellent.

This is a very small eclectic restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. My husband and I go there for special occasions. Well worth the money.

My wife and I enjoy going here on special occasions. While the prices are reasonable for the quality, variety and selection offered they are more costly than most restaurants in town. Always fresh choices and specials. Corkage fee is reasonable. Rest rooms are upstairs and they are a bit steep for easy climbing. Parking is off of the alley and... More

We had a surprise birthday dinner for 6. Each of us chose a different entree, and everyone was happy with what they ordered. My salmon was delicious and done to perfection as was the meat filet ordered by my sister. The service was friendly and timely. The ambience is lovely - very warm and quiet in spite of a full... First of all the parking is TERRIBLE! Get there a bit early to find a spot and figure out how to enter the place. Once you get inside you'll wonder if you've taken a wrong turn and fallen into a Gallery. You haven't. Once you start service you likely won't be disappointed. This little place has an excellent wine list-both... More

Had a great meal with superlative wines with 10 of my best friends. Great menu and wine list with service unexpected in a small town like Brookings. Even bought some art that now hangs in my living room at home.

A wide selection to choose from... seafood, steaks, chicken, pork, duck, a couple of vegetarian dishes. The menu changes often enough that there is likely to be something new to try if you are a repeat customer. On the downside, it also might mean that a favorite is no longer available (I loved the Steak Oscar and it was gone... More
