Steak and sausage skewers! Fantastic. Soup amazing. Great spot, really nice staff, very affordable. Will definitely go back.

A small cafe located in the heart of historic downtown Bend is the perfect lunch stop. It seems to be a popular breakfast place as well. My husband & I were warmly greeted by the owner. Using his Portugese mother's recipe, the Portugese chicken stew was yummy. The cinnamon spiced Chai drink was so delightful and my husband found the... More

We love this place. Consistently great service, great food, not crowded. Excellent menu. Great for a brunch or lunch or breakfast. However.......this is NOT a luxury dining experience. (hence 4/5 stars)

Our negative response to Café Sintra probably comes out of what we'd expected: A unique Portuguese dining experience. While it was not bad for a simple pedestrian lunch, the menu choices we made were seeking an ethnic flair, but were passable at best. The chicken-white bean stew with green chiles and sour cream and warm sandwich of linguiça, sautéed onions,... More

We were becoming discouraged looking for a place that was open and serving light lunches in downtown Bend while driving through Oregon on a Sunday. And then we happened to come upon Cafe Sintra and what a find! We really enjoyed the serene atmosphere and very good food. We shared a fruit salad with a delectable assortment of the freshest... Enjoyed the unique menu choices and the fact that it was quiet compared to the other places in the sunriver village which can have too many little kids and too many TVs for our taste.

This is a wonderful Portuguese owned restaurant. The owner and staff are always wonderful and the food is equally great! On my most resent visit I tried the Bloody Mary and it is outstanding with their homemade gazpacho mix. Don't miss out on that! They have a wonderful selection of items for both breakfast and lunch. Several are vegetarian, which... More

Wonderful special event /meeting held at Cafe Sintra. Sintra is the name of the owners home town in Portugal and he has carried the feel to Bend. Tapas style menu and quality wines were the highlight. Excellent chorizo and cheeses. Caprese was a little Italian but hey - It was good!

The savory goat cheese and spinach crepes are amazing!!! I allways feel as though I have stepped into a European café! Its nice to suppor local business while enjoying a taste of Portugal. Its my all-time fav as far as restaurants in Bend go.... I will always go back. Especially do I like their chai tea and yummy oversized chocolate... More

I'm stumped. Why isn't this place always packed? Coffee is strong enough, specials are unique and tasty, pastries are good, the atmosphere is mellow but interesting, location couldn't be easier for a weekend breakfast. I find the food here every bit as good as more highly ranked breakfast spots in town and you don't have to wait for a table... More
