We were given a gift certificate for this restaurant and were eager to give it a try. After several futile attempts to get a reservation, I finally booked ahead a few weeks for a Thursday night, and got in. We were expecting something very special, but found the food to be just ordinary (we had the salmon) and the prices... More

Took my wife here for her birthday. Charming little restaurant in a converted house with super knowledgeable staff. To the point, quite possibly the best meal I've had in Bend...maybe anywhere. Yes, it was that good. Yes, it's pricey...but worth it, especially for special occasions. That's if you're lucky enough to snag a reservation.

We usually stop here once on any trip to Bend. It has always been great. This time it was off a bit. The soup was excellent as always. The Salmon was fishy and not the highest quality. The cannelloni was kind of bland. Still it was good overall.

From a friend, we were given a generous anniversary gift certificate for our first visit to Ariana. When I made the reservation, I told them it was for our anniversary and we were eagerly anticipated a romantic dining experience. Alas, it was not to be. When we arrived, midweek and early at 6 pm, we were seated in a small... More

We finally tried Ariana after dining at most of the nice restaurants in town. Now, after two visits, we can say it is the best upscale restaurant in Bend. It has a nice setting with outdoor dining in the back, a couple tables on the front porch, 8-10 seats at the busy bar, and a cozy main dining room. Service... More

On a golf trip to Bend last month we arranged for Ariana's 5 course chef's tasting menu as our final dinner. It was spectacular! I have had tasting menus at some of the best places in Yountville, Ca., including the French Laundry, and Ariana's is definitely in the same category! While each course was excellent, I want to highlight some... More

Sorry, fellow travelers. This much-vaunted and expensive restaurant failed to live up to expectations. We dined in December, before a night out at the theater. We decided to go for the full Monty; the five course tasting venue. The first course - sweetbreads - was unusual, but not very tasty. The mushroom soup was excellent, as was the entree, filet... I was looking for a quiet, romantic dinner place to celebrate our anniversary, and Ariana's fit the bill perfectly. We had a table in the corner and our waiter was both very attentive and left us alone to talk between and after courses. The tables are far enough apart that you didn't feel your neighbors were listening in on your conversation.... The bone-in pork chop with grilled peaches was excellent, also fresh scallops were great! Nice wine list.

I had the duck special. It was fatty. Husband had quail in a Indian type of sauce. Nice patio dining. Small menu and even smaller desserts! Our chocolate lava cake was ridiculously tiny and the scoop of salted caramel ice cream that accompanied it was the size of a walnut ($9). Sheesh. Over priced for sure. Service was friendly and...
