We just returned from Zydeco's. Went there based on reviews here plus a terrific rating from Bend magazine. Saturday night, 7:00 p.m. Made reservations, none needed. Found this from TripAdvisor. A real find. The restaurant is easy to find but not in walking distance from downtown. We went on a Saturday night but did not need to wait for more than 20 minutes. Ribs--so tender that touching them with my fork was all it took to get the meat from the bones. Rustic ribeye was perfectly cooked, tender, excellent flavor. Roast vegetables full of flavor and tender beyond expectation. Mashed potatoes with some "I know what that is flavor" that turned out to be nutmeg--just the tiniest bit. Heaven! Amazing food. One of those places that's kid friendly, but not overtly. It's one of our favorites in town. Perhaps my favorite thing about this place is the way they serve water... I'll let you discover that for yourself. more
