Very good seafood, good service, sometimes noisey

This restaurant has 12-14 tables, a little over 1/2 of them are booths. When it is busy it quickly becomes obvious the acoustics are not ideal. Talking with your companion is not easy, and if one of you have a hearing challenge, then the background noise is a big problem. Go early for best... read more

Recommended by our hotel. Loved it because we could walk & the food was good. If you like fish & chips this is the place. The mixed grill was ok, nothing special.

We arrived mid week without a reservation. We were surprised to see how many people were there. Even though 8 of 11 tables were occupied we were seated quickly. The menu had a variety of fish dishes like scampi, fish casseroles and dishes with sauces, but not really just fresh fish like salmon or halibut. The food was good, we... More

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Bend in the 90s, so I had been looking forward to returning here. The first thing I noticed was that the prices were very high. That was one of the things I loved about it years ago-prices were quite reasonable. I had clam chowder, and... More

Have eaten at this seafood restaurant about a dozen times and never been disappointed. Smaller cafe, about 10 tables. Seafood menu, try the sturgeon, it is awesome. Fast service, friendly staff, this cafe is very popular with locals. Reservations probably needed

I've been to this place a half-dozen times, and as always the food was first-rate. This time, however, the experience was marred by uncharacteristically slow service. We sat for a good 20 minutes before we got menus and water, and another ten before the bread arrived. To keep a long story short we were in the restaurant for over an... More

Their dishes are reliably delicious every time! The freshest salads, great service, innovative surprises too. I especially enjoy their dinners featuring polenta. A little noisy, go early, ask for back booth for easier listening to tablemates. Park in Bend's nearby parking garage.

We ducked into this place on 12/30 and were glad we did. In contrast to the noisy, standing-room-only brew pubs nearby, High Tides had a calm atmosphere and an open booth. We enjoyed our plates of fried oysters and grilled salmon; the salads came right away. The waitress was capable and friendly. If they would just dim the lights a... More

My wife and I were looking for seafood without pretence and found High Tide Seafood in Bend. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was prompt and friendly; a great experience without breaking the bank. I had the herb encrusted salmon over angel-hair pasta special and my wife had sauteed tiger prawns. Both were perfectly cooked and generously proportioned. We... More
