Very good seafood, good service, sometimes noisey

This restaurant has 12-14 tables, a little over 1/2 of them are booths. When it is busy it quickly becomes obvious the acoustics are not ideal. Talking with your companion is not easy, and if one of you have a hearing challenge, then the background noise is a big problem. Go early for best... read more

Food was great, waitress was friendly. We both had a grilled shrimp plate and was happy with how it was seasoned. I would eat here again.

It was my Dads birthday and we were craving seafood so we hopped on trip adviser and saw that High Tides had decent reviews. After walking in on a Saturday night, we noticed a lot of empty tables as we stood at the door between 5 and 10 minutes without being greeted or seated. Not even a, "we'll be with... More

High Tides is an often overlooked restaurant in downtown Bend. That is unfortunately because this small family run place serves pretty good food in its modest dining room. The bread that comes with your meal is perhaps some of the best sour-dough that you will find in Central Oregon. Frankly, fried food is your best choice here. Fried oysters are... More

If you like fast food, you will be happy with High Tides. Vegetables seemed as if they had come from a freezer bag. Smoked salmon chowder, (always my most favorite), no pieces of salmon to be seen and over salted. Fresh fish had no flavor and was obviously mishandled in the kitchen. Panko oysters are still good, but sauce is... More

Recommended by our hotel. Loved it because we could walk & the food was good. If you like fish & chips this is the place. The mixed grill was ok, nothing special.

We arrived mid week without a reservation. We were surprised to see how many people were there. Even though 8 of 11 tables were occupied we were seated quickly. The menu had a variety of fish dishes like scampi, fish casseroles and dishes with sauces, but not really just fresh fish like salmon or halibut. The food was good, we... More

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Bend in the 90s, so I had been looking forward to returning here. The first thing I noticed was that the prices were very high. That was one of the things I loved about it years ago-prices were quite reasonable. I had clam chowder, and... More

Have eaten at this seafood restaurant about a dozen times and never been disappointed. Smaller cafe, about 10 tables. Seafood menu, try the sturgeon, it is awesome. Fast service, friendly staff, this cafe is very popular with locals. Reservations probably needed
