And that is because it is the best. I definitely needed GPS to find this place, but it was wonderful. Beautiful setting in an old "cottage", great food and staff. I expect this place to stay #! for a while.

The staff are the nicest ever, love the atmosphere and the food - if seated outside, they have cozy blankets! Win-win!

I had a wonderful breakfast here on my trip to Bend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I went with a group of friends and we were really happy with all of our meals. The scones were great as were the potatoes. If you can, go on a weekday because it's less crowded.

A local recommended this restaurant and we were so glad that we followed up on the recommendation. We were welcomed and seated promptly although the restaurant, at least outside, was very busy. The weather was perfect, the tables on the lawn comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The crepes I ordered were prepared perfectly with a generous topping of fresh strawberries.... More

We can't say anything but go! We liked everything we sampled, large portions, good ingredients, interesting combinations and comfort food. Breakfast is available all day and the potato hashes are outstanding: lots of crab in the daily special with sweet potatoe. They happily substituted yams for Yukon golds for the ham tilamook hash. The fish and chips was excellent. The... More

Restaurant has nice feel and decor , the food was outstanding and fresh. My wife had a mimosa that was delicious but a little... More

Spent the weekend in Bend, and this was one of the high points of the stay. What a great restaurant. Warmly greeted by a smiling staff. Food and service was superb. Weather was very warm, and opted to eat inside, which may have been a mistake- no a/c. Crowded- I made reservations at each visit, and it was a good... More

What a wonderful place for breakfast. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive and spot on with her recommendations. I went with a local who has been three or four times and each time has been great.

After reading the reviews we were excited about going to McKay cottage! However, after over an hour wait for average food,we wouldn't come back. One of the reasons we came is because it advertises child friendly, and with a busy two year old in tow we are always on the look out for good family restaurants. Yes the fruit and... More

Either Bend has no decent breakfast restaurants, or people have no idea what a good omelette means. We went because of the rave reviews and the restaurant had won Best Breakfast in Bend for many years in a row. Also, we decided to forgo the free hotel breakfast because the reviews were so outstanding. Let's start off with the cons.... More
