You can go healthy with fruit and yogurt, decadent with big ol' sticky buns, or totally gorge yourself with a scramble but, no matter what, you are not going to be disappointed. Ever.

my bike group and i have had lunch here twice in the past few months. the staff is always accommodating and friendly. we have sat outside both times. the food is excellent. they offered to fill our water bottles without be asked. the service was attentive but not overbearing. i highly recommend this restaurant. they also serve great breakfasts.

I've eaten breakfast at McKay's Cottage many times, and it's always been good. It's a little on the pricey side, so when a friend asked me to join her for lunch there a couple of weeks ago, I was a little reluctant. We were both pleasantly surprised by the amount of variety on their lunch menu and by the very... More

If you want to get a sense of why Bend, Oregon has become a go-to destination for people seeking clean air, good food and funky fun atmosphere, come here for breakfast or lunch. The ambiance is charming and the food is good (and plentiful), but what really sets this place apart is it is quintessential Central Oregon. Nothing phony, and... More

Although the outdoor seating was nice for breakfast the overall value was average at best. Coffee refills took along time. The breakfast was expensive for eggs, homefries and some bacon. I would rather have found a diner without the pretense of fine dining and just a good value breakfast. I will look for another place in the Bend area next... More

will echo most other reviews for this place. The food was really good, but a bit overpriced. I would definitely return.

On a recent trip to Bend was referred to McKay Cottage for breakfast so decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. It's set in an old craftsman style house and is quite a charming atmosphere. It was a chilly morning but the porch has heaters if you have to wait out there as the entrance is quite... More

During a recent visit to central Oregon, my wife and I decided to venture out for breakfast rather than take the easy way out and eat at our hotel. Were we ever glad we did! McKay Cottage Restaurant in Bend is situated in a beautifully restored historic craftsman cottage that was formerly the home of Bend pioneers Clyde and Olive... More

If you visit Bend Oregon do not miss out on breakfast, brunch or lunch at McKays. On a sunny day you can eat outside in a delightful Park like setting. If you go once you will go back, trust me.

This is the perfect place for a brunch....under the trees and on the grass, especially if you are at the table with the fire in the center. Service was very attentive, impressively so. Large portions. Bakery inside. Pecan roll was the best I've ever had. Dogs are so welcome. Heard the library is charming but I did not see it.... More
