Bender Bloody Mary

The Bloody Marys are a meal alone. Very cozy place with great deco. Food was spell binding. Amazing combinations of flavors. They are not afraid of the spicy. Chow is consistently awesome. Food preparation is inspired, using local ingredients, sometimes even from their own garden. The atmosphere is bustling and casual and funky and friendly. On warm days, the outdoor options are delightful, usually with live music playing quietly in the background on weekends. It is my son's top choice and we go as often as possible.

Truely one of the best restaurant breakfasts I have ever had. The dishes are very creative and inspired, I really appreciate that when I'm eating out! Went with a group of 6, we all got something different and everything was amazing from the food to the drinks. I highly recommend the ala med and the pulled pork benidict special if... More

The food was exquisite and most importantly full of flavor. The server was very knowledgeable and offered a passionate description of her favorites which with the rapport she built right up front made me trust her selection. I did not go wrong! Loved my egg's benedict. My husband had the special (he always goes for something with lots of meat... More

The food is great! They have such unique dishes and everything is delicious. But, the place is so small it's hard to even walk through to a table, and since it's crowded it's also noisy. The wait can be really long unless you go early. I wish they'd move to a bigger place.

We've been wanting to try Chow for a few years now, but the small dining room and limited hours (closes at 2pm) make that difficult. Finally made it in on a not-too-busy Saturday. The 40 minute wait was spent next door shopping at local health food store DeVore's. We heartily enjoyed the four breakfast/brunch dishes ordered by our table. Thai... More

Is this food good? Yes. Some dishes are even great-excellent. Although the last dish I got (one of the specials) was super small portions and cost me $16. I was a bit stunned. But I've had other better value dishes there, and their cocktails are yummy. Cozy little space. The main reason this doesn't get 5 stars is the wait... More

I would drive the three hours from Vancouver just for their brussel sprouts.. add a side of the sweet potatoes with blue cheese and you do not need anything else. And I am not even a vegetarian! Soooo yummy

A very small house that has been renovated into a charming, but crowded, little diner. I would like to return in warmer weather and take advantage of the outdoor seating. I personally had the pulled pork that has a poached egg on top. My first thought was to just push the egg to the side. So, glad I didn't. The... More

Yesterday my wife and I went to Chow's for breakfast; a treat we like to give ourselves from time to time, and Chow gave us that treat. It starts with walking in and having the feeling of going into someones's home and being greeted with a big smile from a person that cares about you. Our hardest task was deciding... More
