OK, so my wife and I have eaten a ton of pizza in Naples Italy - the city where pizza was invented. So, when we came across Flat Bread in Bend, we were thrilled to try it since their claim to fame is traditional Naples D.O.C pizza. When it arrived at our table it looked just lovely and we dove... We usually dine here several times during out trips to Bend. We were very disappointed with the pasta dishes on the menu. I had the lasagne which was disappointing in comparison to my prior visits. My wife had the Kale salad which was good but the Mac and Cheese was horrible. I would stay away from this menu item. Meanwhile,... More

This is place is fun, I love having choices of pizza, salad, soup and sandwiches where you can mix and match and try a lot of different things. The service is very slow which was fine for us but I wouldn't want to try it on my lunch hour. I love the arugula chicken salad!, hubby loves the blanco pizza.

After an afternoon of walking along the Deschutes River, we wound up at the Old Mill shopping area. We were hungry but just wanted something light. We found Flatbread Community Oven. They have sandwiches, pizza, soups and salads. There have a "Pick Two" menu which is basically a half sandwich and 1/2 soup or salad. I had the Rosmary chicken,... More

We had the pick 2 lunches. We LOVED the pizzas and salads. Both were excellent. But our kids were so disappointed with the Mac and cheese. They aren't picky eaters. But it was almost like a soup, with a puddle of oil in the bottom 3rd of the bowls.

Interestingly, they are certified by the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association. The pizza is wood-fired with a thin crust. It's delicious and obviously, plenty of choices of local beer. Perfect location (at the Old Mill District) and sitting outside in the summer was very relaxing. We had our young border collie with us and our two kids had a great time... More

Overall a very positive experience. Staff was excellent! My pizza was very good. It could have come out a bit hotter and the tomato slices kept falling off the pizza. Nothing I could do kept the tomato slices on the pizza. One big tomato slice per slice of pizza, sitting on top. The cheese acted like a skating rink for... More

We visited this restaurant to meet friends. There were 3 adults and 4 children. The children got to make their own pizza and see it cook in the wood fired oven. Great fun. I had a flatbread of sausage, portobello mushrooms, etc. it was delicious. Great place for families and for groups.
