The chain throughout the west has been great for our driving trips. Our local one is failing. After our 1st unsatisfactory visit (we used to go biweekly) we talked to a shift manager. A couple days later I sent a message to the corporate address. Got a reply&was told they would forward it to the owner.Never heard a word! This... More

A true family dining restaurant that has something for everyone. Portions are superb for the value. The only thing that keeps BB diner from a "5" is the inconsistency of server attentiveness. Sometimes the server is truly solicitous of their customers' needs, other times there is the "take order/deliver order then forget the customer till it's time for the check."... More

Service is great.Bring you coffee immediately! Food is good and plentiful. May have to wait for a seat at the busiest times.

Why the heck did they stick a gift shop in this place? I've got to give them credit that at least they finally got rid of the lady with the horribly fake southern accent. That one woman, alone, made dining here in peace practically impossible. Besides that, there is the five dollar, non refillable orange juice that is an issue.... More

Very large portions for the price. Extremely tasty, awesome atmosphere, GREAT service and ambiance. Wish there was one in Salem!

I recently moved back into the Bvtn area, and was really wanting Black Bear breakfast, but most especially their Hash Browns. I used to come for breakfast often when I last lived in the area, but now my faith in them is shaken. I came with family on an average Sunday (read busy) and had the typical 20 minute wait,... More

Went for Mothers Day dinner. The waitress was very nice. The food was good. We were having a great time. Then after I paid for dinner, my wife wanted to check out the Gift Shop. When we came in there was a sign that said 20% off for the gift shop for the Mothers Day weekend. My wife found a... More

This is a really good place to eat. I enjoy their breakfast the best. They serve such big portions, so be prepared. I love their fresh squeezed orange juice. I don't get it all the time because it's pretty expensive for a glass. Make sure you ask how much it costs before ordering it because the price isn't listed. It's... More

Second Black Bear we have visited and still no disappointments. Ordered breakfast and I'm pretty sure three people would be satisfied with the portions provided on the one plate. Prices are what you would pay at any breakfast resaurant. Service is terrific. Well attended by locals, so possible wait for a table.

I used to go to the original one at Mt. Shasta on long trips to CA. Their food has always been good and the portions large. One breakfast can easily be turned into three! We found this one by chance when seeing a friend staying at a local hotel next to it. I was thrilled to find the food and... More
