There seems to be some inconsistency at Mingo. I have had delightful homemade ravioli and pork scallopine. My Chinese wife had penne and gnocchi which she was less thrilled about. Is it the restaurant or did the restaurant find out what I have known for some time. Thought I was marrying "Delicate Flower." Turns out I married "Raging Tiger."

Five of us including Noah (7) enjoyed a birthday meal on a busy Friday night. Servers were most attentive, and every dish was pronounced delicious. My salmon was juicy and succulent, served on a bed of greens with pasta and scrumptious rounds of roasted delicata squash. Michael devoured his risotto with mussels with gusto. Joe pronounced the chicken cacciatore fabulous... More

Three of us went for lunch. Ordered ricotta, ravioli and braised beef. We all felt the food was excellent. Fresh bread and house wines were very good. Recommend.

I had the salad with fennel prawns and my husband enjoyed the MINGO burger. The ingredients were unique and wonderfully fresh. The setting was contemporary and relaxing. I wish we lived here so we could visit more often.

Just a first class operation, from the moment the hostess greets you to the waiter presenting the bill its just all handled so well. Our food was all prepared as well as could be expected and then some. The Raviolis were all hand made, the pastas were the same , absolutely delicious.

The setting may not be the best, the views uninspiring, but if you're there for a good meal then great choice ! One of the specials for the day was a lasagna with lamb, the description left it absolutely clear to me I had to go for this and I was not disappointed. I think the others around the table... More

The atmosphere and service were very good. The seafood risotto was disappointing. One shrimp, 3-4 small chunks of halibut, and a few small threads of crab I could hardly detect. The flavor was dominated by lemon and olives. Also the topping of the seasonal crisp was not at all crisp. It was more like eating a bowl of oatmeal with... More

A nice space with friendly waiters, Mingo in Beaverton left me a bit disappointed. The bus boys are a bit rough, detracting from the service if you are expecting date level service. The salads are superb, but the wine pours are stingy by about 25% compared with other like rated restaurants in the Portland area. The penne pasta with ragu... More

Took Jennifer out for her birthday. Chose Mingo for the food and ambiance. We each ordered a salad. I had the tri colore, arugula, prosciutto, and mozerella. She had the Cesar with whole stalks of romaine. We shared some of our salads with each other, and the combination was better than the originals. Food was good but the off menu... More

As most know, Portland gets nearly all the kudos as a great foodie city. Sometimes, deserving restaurants out in the suburbs don't get the same treatment or are overlooked. Mingo's is a real treat, with great menu with an equally impressive wine list. The waiter was knowledgeable, friendly & efficient. The courses we ordered, the grilled halibut, pizza and shrimp...
