Went there with my family, as a Hispanic person I know good Mexican food. This is the worse place I've ever eaten at, even Taco Bell is more authentic than this place. I will never ever eat there again.

We visited this restaurant with 4 adults and a 2 year old. Service was fine for what restaurant tries to be, a typical, non-chain Mexican restaurant. It is important to say up front that part of my overall rating of this restaurant is based on the entree I was served which was poor. The rest of the party seemed to... More

Drive by at lunch and you will always see this place very busy. Food is good, service is good with friendly staff.

The chips are plentiful and always good ... The portions are on the large side and the service is quick. Is it traditional Mexican food - no, but is it is traditional Americanized Mexican food.

From the reviews, our expectations were high. The place was crowded and the massive collection of Mexican artifacts hanging from the ceiling and walls gives you the sense that you're in Ensenada. We're not fans of the typical combination plates with a choice of "two" plus a plateful of beans and rice but there was no ala carte section that... More

I have often driven past this restaurant thinking it looked really odd and unattractive, not very inviting at all. But then one day my daughter ended up having lunch there with some friends, and came home and raved about how good the food was. So one Sunday evening we were in the mood for Mexican food and decided to give... More

A few years ago this was a great place to go for the authentic rich flavors of Mexico. This is no longer the case, the food is now typical of your run of the mill Americanized Mexican restaurant. You are likely to be crowded into a noisy area with slower than average service. Save money for two trips to a... More

Went to Pepita's today. It was great! It's like you walk into street party with a festival going on. Seriously, with the colors, the decorations, lights and music - it's awesome. The staff are very friendly and are always there when you need them - exceptional service. Lots of authentic Mexican food. I mean the real deal here. Their enchiladas... More

This place has it's style ... It's like visiting a happy Mexican family. People call you amigo and they mean it, by your second visit, they call you by name. The food is really family style. It might be lacking some presentation, but it's fresh, tasty and taste like what people cook at home, not what is coming out from... More
