We split as a couple

My wife really likes this place and their Salmon. I had a steak (Hanger?)which was OK. The restaurant was not busy the night we were there, but I thought the place was a bit bland, except for a big mural on one wall. We will go back, and I will try the salmon My wife will be happy. This place was Beaverton Institution to be sure, but alas - Monteaux's has closed its doors forever.

Good, but uninteresting food. Prices are moderate. Nice place for dinner for the family. Not much to get excited about.

I went here with a friend and waited for 10 mins before we were sat. (They forgot to change the "Please wait to be seated" sign) The food was OK but nothing special and they were very slow for lunch rush. If I was in the area I would give it a second chance at dinner bit wouldn't go out... More

For a casual outing, your can't beat Monteaux's. It's small and comfortable and not noisy like many places, which is a huge plus for me. I seem to always have the salmon when I'm there, and it's cooked perfectly every time. Service is always good, and the prices are reasonable. I wish they had dry ciders, but they do have... More

If you are looking for a place to eat with friends, you might enjoy the quiet ambience at Monteaux's. Unlike many pubs, the background music doesn't intrude on conversation. Seating is flexible and families are welcome. Our group agreed that this was a place we'll visit again. The food was delicious and the menu was varied. The portion sizes were good... More

Food was excellent and loved the fried brie with honey glaze. Tried something new and was pleasantly surprised. Had the Asian Wrap and it was messy but very tasty and flavorful. Service was pretty good and liked the atmosphere. Would go to Beaverton again just to go back... and I'm from SC :)

We held a small Christmas reunion there. It was just 8 people and all we had was a table on the upper level but the food and service were quite good. It was not overly busy so noise was not really an issue. Service was fast and friendly and the server created separate checks. Gratuity was added. A decent range... More

This restaraunt is a lovely place, easily-accessible in Beaverton and appeared to be a perfect venue for all but perhaps couples with children. That being said, their lunch salads with chicken (at ~$15) are overpriced, even for Portland. This might be a function of a lack of menu diversity between lunch and dinner, but even so, disappointing.

I went here for a late dinner while visiting my friend in Beaverton. She had worked late and we wanted to eat somewhere not too pricey but weren't interested in fast food. I had read the reviews of this place and it was close by, a plus due to pouring rain that evening. My friend loved her hamburger, proclaimed it... More
