Low key local diner, decorated with photos of famous patrons. Fried chicken, Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and pie to DIE FOR! Portions are huge and the price is low. Can't get a happy meal for what you pay here. DELICIOUS!!! Service is always friendly. We have eaten here many times and make a point to get there before they... More

If you eat at the restaurant it's ok food. But if you get it catered make sure you get a top piece of meat. They pile it in 0 abs and it is so greasy by the time you get to the middle it's almost uneditable.

Expected better...was given POWDERED eggs! Complained to the waitress and she brought me real scrambled eggs...No real butter or half and half...just the fake stuff...Waitress was very nice, though, and atmosphere is too...

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat lunch before getting on the turnpike, so we drove through Vinita. I noticed a large number of cars at Clanton's, so we decided to try it. The food was fantastic, and the price was exceptional. For the price of a burger and fries we had a wonderful chicken fried steak... More

Except for a couple of national chain restaurants this is the only place to eat. Fast service, friendly staff, clean, efficient and the food isn't bad either. It's close to the hotels and the highway. We tried their new appetizer, fried pickle chips. They were good and had a kick to them too. We also had the chicken fried steak,... More

Nothing changed here since the last review. Everything was great. I had the beef tips and wife had the famous chicken fried steak with mashed and gravy. Well worth the stop if you are travelling down I-44 or old Route 66. Family friendly although our dog didn't mind waiting in the parking lot as long as we brought him something.... More

We ate here on our way to Branson. They were very busy but we were able to get a table for nine quickly. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Clanton's Café was listed in my Route 66 guides and was one of those old gem sites that I just had to try. It was pretty true to legend, with the big old EAT sign out front and quite a bit of character within. In honor of its recognition by Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, someone had painted a decent likeness... More

We stopped at Clanton's for dinner on our way from Tulsa back home to Ohio! I am so glad we did the service was great!!! The management is very attentive to their guests. It was very busy when we went on a Thursday evening but that is a testament to how great that food a service was. The calf fries... More

Drove out from Tulsa with my husband. Service was incredibly fast and the place was packed. Ordered calf fries and fried mushrooms to start. The calf fries were tasty but the portion was SO SMALL. The mushrooms were every day, run of the mill fried mushrooms. My husband had the chicken and dressing with green beans and mashed potatoes, I... More
