A good meal for a family

My mom and dad have been coming here since I wasn't even born, now is no exception. For the price there isn't much that can beat especially with the free rolls and strawberry rhubarb sauce. Now this isn't my favorite place to eat but its the best for a home cooked meal without having to it... read more

This is the place for an awesome breakfast or good old fashioned dinner (I love the pot roast!). We also come here often for breakfast and my goal is to try everything on the menu!

"Five Generations Of Homemade Goodness" is what's on the front page of the menu. Well the newest generation didn't learn anything from the previous four. We ordered a Orange Juice & the California Omelet; bacon, avocado, tomato & cheese, with your choice of potatoes and a bread. We picked hash browns and wheat berry toast. The best thing was the... The staff are very friendly. The food is good and the service is adequate. Family style menu makes them a great place for a "comfort food" restaurant.

The reastaurant was beside our hotel, and I went there for lunch on the first day. I had just come from a day of travelling. I had the soup of the day, with a side salad. The salad was delicious and quite filling. Their specialty is the rolls they serve as an entry, they are a little sweetened, and come... More

This place is known for it's meatloaf, but I like the goulash. The fried okra and chicken fried steak is good also. Never had a bad meal here.

From many of the reviews you question yourself whether to even try a new place or not. We finally took the plunge to find out first hand. We were greeted immediately as we came in the door and escorted to our table. We were given our menus and left to look them over. I came for breakfast but there were... More

Had dinner here while staying at the hotel next door. Had a vegi plate with a large baked potato. The red beans were delicious, just like mom used to make. Also had a very nice dinner salad. The best thing, however, were the rolls! OMG, they were delicious and HUGE. They are served with a house rhubarb and strawberry sauce... More

If you like being seated at a dirty table and then ignored for ten minutes while others that came in after you have their orders taken, this is the place to go. I mentioned the lack of service to the hostess as I left and she had no response. Instead of apologizing, she went looking for someone to blame. I... More

Not really used to US restaurants, but this was beside the hotel on our R66 trip. NO BEER????? Food was overcooked to the point of blandness (my wife's salmon was very very dry and my shrimp tasted of nothing other than oil). And who batters and deep fries Okra? Noisy, busy (why?) and a truly disappointing experience.
