Try the chicken fried steak! Go with the onion rings for an appetizer, skip the fried tomatoes, the daily specials are also good. Service is great. Take a bite out of history on the corner of Yale and Route 66. You'll be glad you did.

Having never visited an American Diner before, I particularly wanted to visit one whilst I had a bit of free time in Tulsa. This diner came highly recommended by both colleagues and the lady in the gift shop at the Gilcrease museum... And rightly so. I had coffee and their signature dish, chicken fried steak, as it sounded unusual. Everything... More

This is our new go2 diner in Tulsa. It was so nice, we ate here twice. Saturday night for dinner and Sunday for brunch/dinner. Everything was fresh, not frozen. I had the freshly breaded chicken tenders on Sat. night and then on Sunday I had the fried chicken livers which were the best I have ever had. All their plates... More

We recently planned a weekend trip to Tulsa and wanted to eat someplace that wasn't a national chain, for lunch. While we were driving I searched the web and came up with Talleys. it is in the older part of Tulsa on historic Route 66 and is a typical 50's/60's cafe. What a treat!!!! The restaurant sits very predominately on... More

I was not that impressed with this cafe. Very old, which was OK, but not very clean. I dropped my knife on the floor and asked for another. The waitress brought me a fork and knife wrapped in a soiled paper napkin. Food average.

Can't complain, fast attentive service. Great huge portions for breakfast. Everything was prepared great and it wasn't expensive at all, would definately return.

This place is not the quaint diner you picture on rt 66. It's pretty dang big. The food was great! The service was excellent and judging by how busy they were you know the locals love it. Excellent place to stop! Definitely a great place to grab a bite on rt 66.

One can certainly find more upscale restaurants in Tulsa, but none will beat Tally's for overall goodness. First, it is located on old Route 66, so as you stroll in, picture 60 years ago as travelers drove by heading to/from Chicago and L.A. You will be greeted by typical Oklahoma warmth as you enter, and then probably be seated within... More

We are on a trip from one end of Route 66 to the other and have eaten at quite a few of these retro cafes. This one is not disappoint. The service was quick, friendly and efficient and the food was good. I love the decor too.
