Have eaten at good restaurants in my time, but to dine in a great one is very refreshing. This restaurant is a great one and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys very tasty dishes. I enjoyed having the mixed grill of tenderloin of beef, seared scallops and duck breast of which all were cooked to perfection. The sides... More

Expensive, but great. I believe it's the only French restaurant in Tulsa. T wine list is great and the bread!

This restaurant has been around for a long time, having its ups and downs with different chefs and owners. It is definitely on an upswing. The dining room is fairly small and quiet, with a couple of little window nooks that I really like. Open kitchen, so you can see the cooking going on. Salads are always very fresh and... More

My husband was attending a fishing expo in Tulsa so I told him to stop here to get some duck liver pate to go. He got 2 orders and it was a wonderful treat with capers, onions, egg and toasts. What a wonderful taste treat. Will be going back for other things/

Best "eats" in Tulsa. Long time established restaurant with continential cuisine and great service. Expect the unusual and enjoy a leasurely dinner. Ambiance is excellent and the quality is superb. I have eaten here a dozen times and it is predictably excellent each time.

I've been to the French Hen twice in the last two weeks ~ first to our investment club dinner hosted in a private dining room with a price fixe menu and last night in the main dining area (scheduled with friends after the great meal last week). Both meals were excellent - my medium rare tenderloin was cooked to perfection... More

An earlier reviewer said it isn't French because he is French, but, what is French? What is American food? I went here in October with friends for a birthday dinner. I ordered off the specials and had wonderful food. I had a salad with walnuts, butternut squash, on arugula with a pear vinagrette. There was something else on it but... More

I went to the French Hen for my one year anniversary and was pleasantly surprised. The service was very good and the food was delicious. I was a little suspicious as to whether it would be worth it or not after reading some reviews, but I wanted to go somewhere that was really nice and not a chain restaurant. My... More

As a French native I do know French restaurants in the US are not always the top, but there is nothing worst than a "pretend" French restaurant. At that place the only thing French you'll find is the name, besides this, be ready for a huge disapointment going on with high unjustified prices. Service was as much as bland as... More

"French Hell". The title of your comment implies you had some sort of horrific experience, but from reading your post, it appears you simply did not like your food. Perhaps it wasn't quite like you've eaten in France, but its hard to fault prime meats and fresh fish. We spend a lot of time researching, cooking and tasting and in... More
