Our kids were gone to the in-laws, so we dined with each other rather then cook. Thanksgiving with just the lovely Mrs. Special menu for Thanksgiving, so although I've eaten there before, it has been a while, and this was a special menu. They couldn't find our reservation at first but they graciously accommodated us on a busy afternoon. Wife... More

I recently came here to celebrate my mother in law's birthday with family and we had a wonderful experience. Overall, the service was good. Our server was very friendly and offered recommendations which we appreciated. The sweet breads were great as an appetizer, I had the Beef Tenderloin Rossini as my main (w/ foie gras, delicious!) and really enjoyed it.... More

Good, consistent over last 26 yrs restaurant. Authentic French food in a pleasant setting, w/attentive service. However, refer their offspring - The Hen Bistro - in Brookside. The French Hen is more like Grandma's French - vs - Hen Bistro has the verve of the Left Bank. Regardless, both have both classic (cow au vin) - vs. - more casual... More

My wife and I live in Eureka Springs Ar. and try to eat at the French Hen every time that we are in Tulsa. We first ate there several years ago and have eaten there many times since. The food is excellent, expansive wine list and friendly efficient service. Definitely one of our favorite places for dinner.

We dined here with a large group on a Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were amazing! Service was great - as soon as my beverage was empty, I had another one in no time. My husband thought the scallops were some of the best that he has ever had and my... More

Don't be in a rush when you go. Service is a but slow but the food was worth the wait. The calamari appetizer and Caesar salad was not impressive but everything else was top notch. The complementary mini beef Wellington bites, spinach salad, entrees of SEARED DIVER SCALLOPS and duck, and desserts of berry crème brûlée and expresso chocolate mousse... More

This was not my first visit to this restaurant, but it was by far the worst experience I have had there. We barely saw our waitress, and our drink glasses sat empty for long stretches of time throughout the evening. We were there 45 minutes at the restaurant before we managed to order our meals, most of this time was... More

We ate here the end of May on a middle of the week night. The restaurant was almost empty. Except for the Mushroom tart which was very good, everything else was very mediocre. The spinach salad with fruit was so bad, my husband sent it back. I had a lobster dish . The lobster was overcooked and tough. I do... More

We enjoy eating a variety of cuisines and have found tapas, or small plates, to be a great way to sample many different foods. We visited our favorite French restaurant, the French Hen to celebrate the end of a 3 week family vacation. We ordered our meal entirely from the appetizer menu thereby getting 'small plates' which were shared by... More
