Great food, ambiance and margaritas!

First off, if you are staying at the Renaissance hotel, you are basically walking distance from Abuelo's. The restaurant has a great ambiance and is decorated very well. The menu is pretty expansive and everything that was ordered in the party I was with was enjoyed. The service was great and the... read more

Very nice Mexican restaurant with a good bar and excellent menu. My fish tacos were excellent as were my husband's fajitas and the traditional margaritas were perfect all served in a relaxing atmosphere, we will be back.

Returned to this restaurant after 10 years to revisit one of our favorite restaurants in Tulsa. Think the management wanted us to wait 10 years for service and our food as a price for our absence. Not much to review on the food since we never were served it. However, chips and salsa as well as DP were good. So... More

It's really disheartening to read about your wait during your recent visit, especially coming from such a loyal and long-time fan. I can assure you, we do hope to provide the best meal possible, but I'd like to personally apologize for the excessive wait. If you make it back to Tulsa, I hope you can give us another try, so... I ordered traditional chicken fajitas without sour cream and cheese and i got onions with chicken. No bell peppers. When I asked where the bell peppers were i was told this is their fajitas and i could have bell peppers added to it. I asked where the rest of the stuff was and I got an attitude from several servers.... More

I'm so sorry to hear about this, Sara! This is certainly not the standard of service we want to be holding ourselves to, and I'm sorry you experienced that! I appreciate the feedback and will follow up with my staff about this so that I can ensure that we're giving everyone the amazing service we're known for. I truly hope... More

This is not good Mexican food for someone used to authentic Mexican food. The cheese dip tastes like runny tostinos out of the jar. We've been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting on our server with our light flashing. Would never come back. Maybe it's good food to people from the north, but not this Cajun couple.

Yes, it's a chain, but the food is really very good and the margaritas are awesome. It was convenient to my work, which is why I picked it over a local eatery. The service was alright, maybe a little neglectful of a single diner compared to some of the tables around me that had more people seated.

My friend and I visited Abuelo's for dinner in March of 2015 expecting a good dinner, boy did we get a surprise! My friend ordered a chile rellenno and they left the seeds inside, yuck! I ordered a fajita chicken chimichanga. That was the blandest chimichanga I've ever eaten in my life! And the retried beans were so bland not... More

recently stayed in Tulsa and ate at abuelo's, food was fast and very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located right off of 71st south, easy access. Don't be late or you will wait trust me plan your evening in advance because it fills up fast, hence the good food and service.

We needed a break from the last three days at the hospital. The structure itself and the promise of some good Mexican food prompted our stop. I had frozen Deza Margaritas and my family member had the Sangria Swirls while we enjoyed a trio of salsa with some thin and tasty chips. Our entrees were the Firecracker Shrimp tacos and... More
