Good but a bit pricey

Enjoyed my visit. Ordered the seafood Guerrero and combo fajitas and queso. Didn't like the queso, pretty bland. But the Guerrero was fantastic! Great flavors -will be back for that dish. Fajitas were ok but nothing special. Service was on point, friendly and efficient. But watch your wallet! There... read more

I was in Tulsa for 7 days for a soccer tournament. We went to Abuelos 3 different times. The service and the food were amazing every time.

Took my family of 5 and a friend to eat on a Sunday. It was not busy. The sauces were all very good. Most of the time, we had one very small bowl of chips to share between 6 people. The waitress informed us that they were out of kids cups and lids. This wasn't a huge problem but I... More

Sorry your visit left so much to be desired, Scott. I know it's frustrating when supplies run low and orders are served incorrectly, and it's a shame we put your family through that this time. Still, mistakes like this are certainly the exception to our rule, and I hope you'll give us another chance to prove how enjoyable a night... More

Ate there 7/6. Restaurant is on main highway with plenty of parking. Upon entry we were very impressed with the décor which reminded us of the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. This style is unlike any other Mexican restaurant we've been in. We were seated quickly and our server arrived with an extensive menu that offered a wide range of meals... More

We wish you could come eat with us regularly too, Jerry! However, I'm so glad that you got the chance to dine with us, and that you and your wife were so impressed with your meals! I can't tell you how much I appreciate such detailed and wonderful feedback -- it really made my day! Be sure to visit the... More

Started with the chips, salsa and the dip sampler - absolutely love the thin heated chips. The Chile Relleno hit the spot! Portions are perfect. By the time you get to the end of the pepper...you're full! Atmosphere is always clean and the staff are well versed, friendly, and attentive. I've come to the conclusion that I just don't eat... Love abuelos! Love the atmosphere and the food is great. Large portions. A little pricey, but you get a lot for it. The spinach enchiladas are wonderful! The avocado cream appetizer and the new carribean salsa are excellent. Everything I have tried has been wonderful. Service is usually great and they get your food out pretty quick.

Went here for lunch with my husband. We were trying to make a 1:30pm movie time and arrived at the restaurant at 12:30. We were seated immediately and our waitress promptly showed up, took our drink orders and then our lunch order. She was very pleasant, and provided good descriptions of different food items like the salsa and the spiciness... More

A co-worker loves their cueso, but I haven't found anything on the menu that I dislike. Was at Abuelo's once before I moved to Tulsa and they kept the bar open for a co-worker and I to finish watching the hockey game. That is customer service!

We ate Sunday much with friends. It was busy, but I thought the food wasn't as good as the last time. Maybe because I got enchiladas instead of fajitas. But my food wasn't very hot and not all that great. I might try it next time I'm back in town.

The place is huge! Lots of tables and the bar area was pleasant with big screens hanging so you can watch games at all angles. The beer was cold, and the food was very good. The server was excellent. All in all we enjoyed the food. It was flavorful and the portions were substantial.
