El Rio Verde is a small authentic Mexican restaurant in North Central Tulsa. Although it's a little out of the way, it's well worth the search (or Google search) for your dinner. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner, with charming tables and booths counter service. The waitresses and staff are polite and helpful. Most of the menu is in Spanish... More

I have been to many Mexican restaurants in Tulsa and El Rio Verde is absolutely the Best in town. Their Wet Fajita Burrito is my favorite as well as the Fish tacos. Totally authentic and the value is fantastic. It is so good that we never mind waiting for a table either because their food is very worth waiting for!

I guess I prefer Tex-Mex, but I've eaten here several times with friends and I just can't get into the food. The restaurant is clean and the service is very good, but I've not yet discovered anything on their menu that I truly like. I don't understand the outstanding ratings, but I think it is just a matter of taste.

A few coworkers and I come to El Rio Verde on almost a weekly basis. We love the authentic Mexican food and the atmosphere. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, and it’s somewhat small on the inside, but the food is really good, and a close place to go if you work downtown. If you do... More

We were taken here by our family during our visit to Tulsa. I have to say it was excellent, the range of different dishes on the menu was enticing and very reasonable prices. The four of us had seperate main courses all of which were very well cooked, very tasty and not over spiced. We felt after that our taste... More

Having eaten here a few times the service is invariably cordial. The food is pretty good; it's more a home cooking style than flashy texmex. It's difficult to find mexican food here with authentic chili verde y chile con carni sauce to cover the dishes. To me Denver's the place for Mexican food. The ambiance is very a interesting locals... More

We ate here on a Friday evening around 5PM based on all the glowing reviews. I have to agree with one of the other reviews about the salsa and the plate soaked with it. This has to be the worst salsa I have ever had. Ketchup with added vinager and no spices. My wife wanted beef fajitas, but they did... More

We had dinner with friends. First visit for my husband and me. Food was very good. Salsa is more like sauce and the wet burrito is wonderful! $5. Wow! Very authentic! Location is a little odd, but felt very safe!

Based on the great reviews, I drove to check this place out. I had great service, but the food was so so. The salsa was homemade but very disappointing. It was not spicy and was very liquified. I also had the wet burrito which, according to the menu, is what they were put on the map for. It was alright... More
