At least I think that's what the waitress said. I enjoy their torta and mexican soft taco. Really need a box to take, too much food. Their siganture dish is the wet burrito. If you want lunch then get there by 11AM otherwise you'll wait for a seat. Thye also have breakfast and dinner. YUM!!!!! more
This is my favorite Tulsa restaurant, because it is great food and so affordable. I went to this place with 7 other people, we all had a wet burrito and a beer and the bill was $86. We were in Tulsa for a brief trip and as this is near downtown tried it out. The wet burritos are really good but beyond that the food was just ok. Atmosphere was authentic but just ok. Not worth the trip unless in the area. more
I've been to El Rio Verde a couple of times. I love places that are off the beaten path (this is WAY off the path) and I love authentic mexican. I usually have the wet burrito, but i like trying the other things on the menu, so far theyve all been good. the food definitely hits the spot when i get a craving for some real mexican food. try the 'torta' sandwiches too. also good that they accept credit/debit now. the restaurant is kind of in the middle of nowhere... more

We loved El Rio Verde. It's worth finding. The vege burrio was great, so was the fish taco. I highly recommend visiting. more
El Rio Verde is our favorite restaurant in Tulsa. Breakfast is incredible. A number of breakfast dishes are all wonderful - my favorite is breakfast quesadillas. Also bistec (steak) and eggs. I can't say for sure it is the best of the many mexican restaurants in tulsa, but out of all the ones I have tasted El Rio Verde is best.
