Our experience was indescribable. The food menu was what we would expect from a Route 66 diner but taste & quality were a cut above! Service was amazing. We felt like guests in a home not customers. Beverly took time out from her busy schedule to answer our many questions. Our server, Roberta, did an excellent job & her coworkers... More

We rode to the Rock Cafe for breakfast - super light and fluffy biscuits and gravy were my favorites - but everything was good. Will definitely return!

I had heard about this place since it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives but never went. I was with a group on our motorcycles riding on old Route 66. The place was busy but the ladies were very friendly and found our group a table quickly. I ordered the famous Jagerschnitzel & Spaetzle as recommended by the server.... More

So, my boyfriend and I are traveling from Wisconsin. We hit up this interesting spot on our way down 66 to see what it was all about. It is a small building with what appears to be too many waitresses. We were asked 8 times if we wanted to refill our beverages. On one occasion, literally back to back the... More

Looking for Route 66 icons, we stopped at Rock Cafe on the second day of our trip (June 18). We were running behind schedule so we almost didn't stop but wanting to help support privately owned business on 66 we did pull in just to get some soft drinks. Sadly, the place seems neglected. The "'Sheriff" and "Lightning McQueen" cut... More

Bill, Loved your review though, I do believe we deserve a higher rating. :) Heres our issues you saw: Our cutouts. My goodness they are run down. During the fire of 2008, those cutouts warped and have been getting worse and worse. For 3 years, we've been trying to have new ones made... It's tricky. My mother made those for... More

Anytime we pass through Oklahoma, we make sure our route takes us through Stroud, no matter the time it adds. The food at the Rock Cafe is amazing, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service is better than at places where I've needed a reservation. Thank you to Tori, Roberta, Tiller, Nick, Lesleigh, and Amber for another great... More

We visited Rock Cafe yesterday for lunch. I had read a few reviews and was expecting something a little "more". The outside was a disappointment and inside much smaller than pictures show. Also, the booth we sat in was very shabby with missing seat covers. I don't know if all of this shabbiness was intentional, but it was not that... More

Super friendly service and the cutest atmosphere! Thanks Les, Lane, Nick, and Courtney for the awesome experience! Thanks for suggesting the Jägerschnitzel and Spaetzel! I would have never picked that on my own and was wonderfully surprised at its deliciousness! Thanx!!!

Food was superb. Atmosphere was ridiculously friendly. Historical chats and landmark discussion made me feel so welcome. Well worth the stop. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, and it was delish. A friend ordered the Jagerschnitzel and Spaetzle. It was to die for. I'm definitely getting that next time I stop in to Rock Cafe.

The fried pickles and spaetzle w cheese is da bomb. By the way if you like ranch you came to the right spot, and that's just appetizers. More to come.
