Good Mexican Food, Great Service!

Some of you wouldn't think to get good Mexican food at a place called Maggie's but its actually pretty good. Decent prices. The Green Chile Pork is great for supper and the carne asada tacos are also very tasty.

For a taste of the real thing, NOT TexMex, but authentic MEXICAN cuisine this really fills the bill. Naturally, it is a true hole in the wall and is so easy to miss and even rather scary to walk in to just because it is so unpretentious from the exterior.. Surely THIS cannot be THE place for truly fantastic MEXICAN... More

Breakfast is served only on Saturdays and the burritos are great. They also offer Menudo but it runs out quick so be there early. During the week there are lunch specials and they offer senior meals also. The guacamole is the best in town. Try the grande burrito and have leftovers for the next day!

Great restaurant. Simple food. Had the soft shell chicken tacos - a good choice. Clean and has great service. I'll return! Thanks.

My wife and I stopped in while passing through town. Small place, lots of local folks. Very personable waitress (Her mother is in the kitchen and Maggie is the grandmother). A shreeded beef quesadilla was excellent. The beef was tender and very flavorful (Much better than one later at the Iron Cactus on the river walk in San Antonio). My... More

After reading the reviews we decided to try Maggie's. My daughter really liked it. She asked me today when we were going to go back. The time we stopped back was after dinner time so the atmosphere was laid back. Which I like. The waitress kept disappearing and I would wonder if she was coming back, but what ever she... More

I usually do not like to review a place unless it is excellent or I have eaten there a few times or more, but I will do it anyway this time. I thought everything was fair to good that I had, but not a place I would stop at again until I have tried the other choices in town. The... More

Had the beef chimichanga and salsa with queso. Very tasty, but not the best in terms of "authentic" Mexican food. The service was EXCELLENT! Waitress was very attentive and the food arrived fast and kept coming!
